Then again, they could surprise with a tour. Their calendar is clear this summer, but usually we hear some type of rumblings by now.

It took them forever to announce last year, too. Dunno why they are always slower than a week in jail.

I feel like they were really late to the game on the summer tour announcement last year. They get to things when they get to things. It's like they are on Hawaiian time all the time.

Just saw this. Yup!

Five drummers at once would be pretty cool. Imagine:

Weren't there three on stage at one point? Chad Gracey, Robin Diaz and Stephen Perkins.

You guys got me excited at the prospect of some shows or a tour this summer. I'm hopeful, but not convinced.

Kind of ridiculous to think that Live would tour this summer. They have been touring multiple seasons since 2017. And they have been playing a weak set list. Kudos to them for pulling that off. I don't know if they have anything left to record. Live literally gave into Zak Loy. Live... reduced to Zak Loy. How much do you wanna bet that Zak is on the next album, depreciating the music into something even shittier than SFBM, such as Local 717?

I actually like the addition of Loy. Live has never really had guitar solos as part of their sound. Loy is a skilled guitar player. The music and riffs on 717 are way better than SFBM in my opinion.

For me the issue is in the lyrics. If Ed doesn't develop a new approach to writing and find new things to say I don't have much hope for new good music in the future.

To hell it’s not!! I’m a huge Tesla fan and they have consistently been touring since 2013 that I remember, if not longer. They are fixing to go out in the road AGAIN this summer with Alice Copper. In the midst of it all, they also put out a FULL LENGTH ALBUM, entitled Shock. They are near 20 years older in age than Live.

Brother, Giver, and Love Lounge rocked pretty darn hard.
If it weren’t for Loy (Bremang!), we’d had an EP full of Ed-Solo-Waterfall-Crap.

They. Need. To. Stop. Being. Lazy.

I agree. Laziness seems to be their biggest issue, amongst many others.

For sure it is! Setlists, lyrics, learning to play nicely their instruments through the years, evolve as musicians and not only in the business side. Their legacy is sadly clear. And the one point where you thought they would bring that back, they kicked it away and erased it. I mean, it's not a pro Shinn anti Ed word, just that since they brought Ed back they put out 4 new songs with decent music but awful lyrics and lazy setlists show. A bit normal even casual fans are jumping off the wagon.

Live never needed guitar solos. They were never that band. But they sure as shit are now. And they had to bring in an outside musician to become that. Loy is basically Railo with a guitar.
