Looks like rumors of them touring in the US with STP are false. STP is opening for Nicleback this summer with Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown.

Whereas every band I like, and even every band I hate have ALL announced tours this month, looks like January is going to end with no tour announcement from Live. angry.gif

Yes, since STP is going out with Nickelback (please don’t tell me that Live will later be added as the opener of this one no.gif ), pray tell, just WHO are they going to tour with this summer? I’m out of guesses.- Anyone?

Maybe they'll give us a theatre tour with no opening act and a bunch of deep cuts including Hold Me Up and New City.

I'll see myself out.

They may be working on the new album this summer. So could be a show here and there, but no big tour for the US in 2020 is my guess.

Well that would suck. Didn’t they say they were going to tour, which is what has us all speculating?

I feel like they were really late to the game on the summer tour announcement last year. They get to things when they get to things. It's like they are on Hawaiian time all the time.

Pretty sure they said they would tour. There also not really any money in making a new album, especially for a primarily nostalgic act. I'd be shocked if they didn't roll out and some type of tour, unless they can't find someone to tour with them this year.

Good point. Nowadays, the road is where the money’s at.
They could definitely find someone. Live doesn’t need to do a huge tour. Tour theaters. Tour hole-in-the-wall clubs (although I think they can still fill theaters). Take an up and coming Pennsylvania band on tour with, as an opener. Or pair up with a washed up 90s act or vocalist (Royston Langdon, Space Hog!). Most Live fans want a small headlining tour, and have been since the reunion.

I want to know where they're at creatively now that we're past 717, the covers, and the music for drunk nostalgia tour.

Make me a record.

let's give zak some time to write some new material and outsource a 4th or 5th drummer.

Five drummers at once would be pretty cool. Imagine:

They did a very extensive US tour last year. I can see them going smaller this yeah with less shows to go along with their Australian tour.

Festivals and spot shows is my guess.

Then again, they could surprise with a tour. Their calendar is clear this summer, but usually we hear some type of rumblings by now.
