Simple Creed

I’d start a new thread, but this place is such a ghost town. I’ll write it out here instead... I relentlessly listen to this band, and after a while, in quiet times like this (why does it take Līve forever to announce tour dates?!), I get bored, branch-out, and listen to their songs not on my playlists. Today, I was so desperate, I actually listened to the album I loathe— V. Newsflash... Simple Creed is still terrible. I turned it down in a drive through, so as not to be embarrassed. Somebody should have taken the microphone away for that one. The song lyrics on 717 are much better than this one, so I still don’t really understand the complaint there. On a good note, after not hearing it for ages, Forever May Not Be Long Enough was palatable for me today. I listened to that track a couple times.

I’d start a new thread, but this place is such a ghost town.

They killed a lot of good will with Local 717 and their "TC 25th Anniversary Tour" setlist. I'm still extremely unhappy with the lack of thought and effort they put into both.

Did they recycle the TC videos from Ed's solo TC tour?

I unfortunately agree. They have crushed any momentum they could've had.

sun and meltdown got like no play time. Like I do has been played a ton and was a single, so there's more of a chance for that but still almost no chance.

I don’t recall it being a single (it should have been), but was the opener for quite some time.

Yeah, I thought Sweet Release was the other single from BOP (besides Heaven and Run Away).

I feel you on this. IMO, Local 717 wasn’t all that bad. I liked 3 out of 5 songs, and hey, that’s a better average (60%) than even TDTH (46%) for me. lol.gif

I agree, the setlist on the tour (and honestly, the actual show in itself) was really the kick in the gut for me. I’m actually looking forward to them potentially redeeming themselves with a decent 2020 tour. If not, I might disown them.

Pretty sure they didn't. Someone could probably do some YouTube research to find out.

actually you're right. For some reason Sweet Release was a single. Like I do, Heaven, and What are we fighting for were the 3 songs used in promotion of the album in concert during 2003, and also the first tracks previewed on that one radio broadcast. Like I do was a fan favorite. But nope, never officially a single.
