Wait? Wasn't this a headlining show?

10 songs?

According to setlist.fm they played 12, but that's still inexcusable.

How do we know whether or not it can be defended without knowing the size of the crowd?

I went. Everyone around me was really confused when they walked off stage after 8 songs, then came out and played 2 covers. I mean, this was a 1200 person crowd and everyone paid 50 bucks just to see Live.

I don't think Ed can sing more than 12 songs, but why two of them are covers is beyond me. Swap those out with Iris and All Over You and it was a fine enough time.

I'll think about this band again when they do a SS rerelease, but I'll never pay money to see them again. Kinda wish I had left the Strand as my last show.

They obviously don't give a shit anymore. They collect the $$$ and move onto the next venue.

Again, they'll say in a couple years how they cannot stand Ed and regret reuniting with him.

Rinse and repeat more of the same.

12 songs for a sold-out show at the 9:30 Club? That's embarrassing.

Sake. If Ed's struggling then obviously that needs to be taken into account, but still. There's no excuse for two covers in such a short setlist.

How can anybody defend this?

I’m sure Līve defends it, as “we are playing the kind of show we want to play.” They do what they want = that keeps them happy = they stay together to make music. shrug.gif

What I don’t get, is how they are truly happy with themselves. I’m sure for 99% of us here, if you really love your job, you go into it every day, giving 100%, or you feel guilty as hell. How can they defend post reunion as giving 100% of their all? It’s half-assed. They must feel guilty. But then most fans on social media eat up every thing they do, hook, line, and sinker, and dare how anyone complain.

This band makes me feel bi-polar.

Well, I’m ashamed to say it but I loved the show. I went in with extremely low expectations and I was just happy to get Rattlesnake, BOG and Operation Spirit. It might have been that I was seeing them from the front row for the first time in years, we were so close I accidentally touched Chad’s guitar and the tech handed me the setlist afterwards because “I deserved it.” lol.gif It might have been the strong cocktails from the bar across the street and it might have been the fact that I was seeing the show with two of my closest Live friends but I enjoyed the shit out of that show. This is what Live does to me though. Just when I think I’m done I end up enjoying them again. Would I have preferred a more special show? Of course! It sucks that we didn’t get one but I can’t even be mad about it today. It’s like a bad relationship and has been for years. I just keep going back. I love them, I can’t help it.

rockin.gif No need to be ashamed. Rattlesnake is a great opener, glad to see it back. Wish they'd drop the covers and throw in more Samadhi though.

This setlist is immensely better than what they've been doing for most of this tour. At this point, I don't think they want to or are even capable of going more than 12 songs. If they eventually got back to 14, I'd consider that an epic Live show nowadays.

Wow, we really have not thought that Ed could not song more songs. I think that qualifies as an excuse tbh
