QUOTE(Hoodstock @ Aug 11 2019, 10:08 am) *

I'd have two questions:

1. Why won't Live play Hold Me Up on this tour, the fans have asked for it?

2. Two covers during a setlist that has been as short as 12 songs on some nights. Why doesn't Live dedicate more Throwing Copper songs to the setlist during the Throwing Copper 25th Anniversary tour?

Your number 1 question would be my number 1 question as well. Wasn't there a thread here about questions we’d ask? It needs bumped to see how what we want to know has changed, now that we are well passed (past?... lol, that one always trips me up) the reunion stage. If not, might be a good thread to start.

mattyeagles—Thanks for your effort with Chad.

Good catch. If that's the case then I'll give Chad the benefit of the doubt. If that's not the case my initial response stands.

Actually you aren't accounting for all of Chad's lies from day one of the bands inception. Plus, Chad already gave his explanation of reuniting with Ed like 100 times.

1 and 2 are easy. They chose the most popular 12 song setlist.

The cover they should be doing.

They can't because Ed wrote a song to the Honest Man riff called Believe.

I posted a thread in here a few years ago about my trip to Otter Creek and the "Otter Creek Day Use Area" (the parking lot that the album photo is from) and this was after having done lots of research about where a dam MIGHT be and if there had ever been one (the internet has got nothing on a dam there--there is one close by on the Susquehanna River and it is affiliated with an energy company there, but literally nobody in their right minds would swim there and it's not even remotely on Otter Creek)...ANYWAY, I spent a whole day cruising the area on foot and car and no dam. I'm not saying Chad is lying about there being a dam and that the song is all fiction...but I'm saying...no dam now, and none doing a surface Google-style internet search. My visit to the area deepened this particular mystery for me.

I had a friend go to the Altimate Tour. The only 2 songs she knew that were played the entire evening was Lightning Crashes and Losing My religion. So there is definitely a merit to the covers.

Ed talked about the song a bit in the recent KINK FM poscast, maybe that helps: http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6373
I think it is at least parially fictional

Cool that you did some actual research!

The fact that Līve chose to cater to those types of fans AGAIN, when they did that last summer... instead of giving diehards a proper tour for TC25 this time around, really burns my butt. When are they going to be satisfied with their bank balance to solely tour small venues or club scenes for the fans who have supported them for 27 years? Never?

Maybe if someone uploads a "how to play" tutorial on YouTube of their catalog they can learn how to play songs other than their hits?

No need to rehearse when you never play anything new. Really no leg to stand on when they try to defend their pedestrian setlist.
