Ed was interviewed by KINK, a Dutch alternative radio station where they go track-by-track through all Throwing Copper's tracks and the outtakes.

Almost two hours including all songs. Recommended listen.

This is an interesting listen. I'm hearing fresh Ed content. I'm up to Waitress at the moment. Can't wait to get to the unreleased stuff. Thanks for sharing Gertjan.

Yeah that was definately worth al listen! Thanks for sharing. Cool to hear the stories behind the songs. Some things we knew, other things were really new for me. Wished at some songs Ed went a little deeper (for example Iris was quite short, We Deal In Dreams in fact only gets mentioned before falling back on Hold Me Up). But there was enough interesting stuff for me to listen until the end. Thought the part about recording White Discussion was really cool.

I still find it remarkable how Ed stresses how many times he came up with an idea or a full written song. Like, we all know you’re the main writer haha. Don’t need to point it out each time. Must say he credited the other guys for ideas and input at many times, fair enough. Cool to hear their influences back then.

Last but not least, I liked the idea of Hold Me Up being so good that they hold it back for later. Still I think Hold me Up would have worked better as a single for Awake than it does for TC25, as it would have been more in a time they got played on the radio and could have been a last big hit. It’s a lot harder now 15 years later.

He wasn't looking for credit for writing the songs, like back during the lawsuit. Here Ed is just describing how as a songwriter he was striving to complete a song. Any songwriter can tell you it takes effort to fully form an idea/complete song

I always thought the spoken word sections of White Discussion were Ed saying them with a fake accent and a megaphone or something. That's what he does when they play it live don't they?

Does anyone know who plays the slide guitar on Horse? Chad Taylor? I can't find a credit anywhere.

I know thumbsup.gif . I write a lot myself. Just thought he stressed it quite much, but it is certainly a difference with 5-10 years ago.

It's not CT. At the AC show in 2013, he talked about that it was guy found like that quickly and he didn't want to be credited for it. Did he mention they tried to find the guy but didn't succees? Christopher Thorn played that part at the AC show.

Feel free to correct me, I'm French Canadian so English isn't my first lenguage and some infos might slip away.
