I get that those songs aren't surprising in that sense, but with all the annoyance over the canned setlist, I'd have thought ANY change would have at least garnered a comment or two.

It's nice they are sprinkling in some different tunes here and there, but their set feels so canned. I wonder if they have a tape playing in the background? They never change the order either.

I've finally accepted that this will be the norm for them and the tours they schedule. They are pretty much performing for the one-off casual fan and really have no need to dig deep into their catalog.

This morning I was thinking it's crazy that they have been a band for 30 years and only have 10 years worth of music that people want to hear.

Do they not know how to play Hold Me Up? Can Ed not sing it right? I know it's not getting much radio play but if you release/advertise it as a single you'd think they would add it. Maybe they're saving it for 20 years down the road. ..

and from the small samples of reviews that I have seen the fans (new and old) are really enjoying the show. That's all that matters in the end...

I think it's just as Voodoo Lady said, tbh. With the Netherlands especially they always seem to throw in some extra extra balladry. Had they played, I dunno.... Voodoo Lady(!), then we'd have something to talk about.

They absolutely use a backing tape for at least some songs. Pretty common these days. The 2018 version of The Distance has some keyboards in it but no keyboards onstage. Usually pretty audible after Zak finishes soloing.

You can also hear during some recent performances of White, Discussion - some sounds from the album recording that couldn’t be duplicated onstage (like the echoing vocals at the end).

They started to use a lot of backing track after the release of the turn. Massive backing tracks for Sirens Call and Rodgerton, even some album backing vocals from Shinn.

The strings of LJ are also there. The end of WD as stated before. But yeah, very common by alot of bands, but in the Turn era it was way too much for the new tracks, like if the band wasn't trusting Shinn enough. There was the guitar parts at the end of Rodgerton that were playbacks, CT was only strumming the chords.

I was watching a broadcast about the Concert at Sea festival 2019 on Dutch television the other night. It included LIVE’s I Alone. You can rewatch it over here: https://www.npo3.nl/concert-at-sea/06-07-2019/AT_2123220 , LIVE’s part is around 42.00. Think it will be up for only a week.

Another song from the CAS Festival was released today: https://youtu.be/6ffqSHRKt3A
It’s Ed playing Run to the Water solo, with Chad joining him towards the end, just like he usually does in Turn my Head.

Makes you think maybe the whole performance was recorded. The compilation I posted above contained I Alone. Back in June they livestreamed a lot of the festival, but for some reason it didn’t include LIVE.
