Does anybody know how many songs Live played at Woodstock 1994? The only footage I've seen from this show is Selling the Drama. It also appeared on a Woodstock compilation CD in the 90s.

Are you able to rip that? I wasn't able to. Sirius web site doesn't work outside the US (I needed to use a VPN) and then they wanted to charge $15 for a subscription.

Does anyone know if the version of We Deal in Dreams from Awake was the original recording or a re record?

Pretty sure it's the original recording.

Edit: looking at the Awake liner notes it reads:

We Deal in Dreams
Produced by: Jerry Harrison and LIVE / Mixed by Tom Lord-Alge.
Music E. Kowalczyk, Lyrics E. Kowalczyk
Previously Unreleased

The thing that bugs me more is that this year tdth is 20 and they fucking do nothing with it. This damned album has 100500 songs recorded in zounds of different version. It could be a 17-disk reissue and yet they go for their biggest release with new old songs we have been listening to for 15 years anyway.

Shoosh

Like you said it's only the 20th anniversary.

Mental Jewelry got a re-release on the 25th anniversary.
Throwing Copper is getting re-release on the 25th anniversary.
In 3 years time we'll get a Secret Samadhi re-release
In 5 years time we'll get a The Distance to Here re-release.

It sucks waiting, but that's the way it is.

No doubt, it will be 2031 before they can drop the 25th Anniversary release of SFBM. I can only imagine the extras that didn't get included on that gem.

That looks like a partial setlist. Too short for a Woodstock show. Candlebox played the same day and did 9 songs.

I don't think it's right. I have the '94 Woodstock CD. Live gets introduced on stage and they go right into Selling the Drama. Maybe that is edited, but I doubt it. I remember watching it on TV and I'm pretty sure it was the first song. FM has a different song as the opener.

Not sure, they are the first song on the album. Here are a few links for anyone who hasn't or heard or seen it.

I looked deeper into the setlist.fm woodstock setlist. The person who listed the songs wrote this also:
Not sure of the order but as I remember it they played these songs.
So you are both correct. The setlist.fm setlist is neither complete nor in the correct order.

some thoughts on why i think live's 6 songs might be the full show:

live played during the day and candlebox played after dark, as per videos on youtube. makes sense candlebox set would be longer if they were higher up the bill.

6 songs from live would be about a 30 minute set. i don't remember exactly when during 1994 live really blew up but in theory they would have been booked and the set length locked in before throwing copper plopped. candlebox and collective soul both played after live and both hit it big in 1993.

also, the list of bands from that particular day is much longer than the other days of the festival, so shorter sets makes sense.
