Are there any tracks that were written during the TC sessions but were used or recorded later? I think I heard that was Freaks played during the TC-era (but maybe written after TC). Anything else?

Freaks was definitely played on the TC tour. Cheetah? Although, that's on the ChurchBox session.

It's hard to say whether Freaks was written for the TC sessions. But yeah, on tour we had Freaks and Cheetah. Covers were Dusted and Supernatural. Had the Sam Server WD remix.

And the "Rain Mix" of Pillar of Davidson. Was that even official?

I believe Photograph and Mallrat were also TC tour era songs.

well, we know they were part of the SS rehearsals and played during the SS tour, and not on any TC setlists. But who knows, they might have been written before SS.

That’s a huge step up from the Mental Jewelry outtakes.

I'm interested on how songs are classified (i.e do they belong on the Mental Jewelry anniversary release, Throwing Copper anniversary release or Secret Samadhi anniversary release?)

This is how I would do it.

Mental Jewelry release: Any track created after "The Death of a Dictionary" but prior to the release of "Mental Jewelry".
This means: Heaven Wore a Shirt, Born Branded and Negation would be included.

Throwing Copper release: Any track created after the release of "Mental Jewelry" but prior to the release of "Throwing Copper".
This means: Susquehanna, Hold Me Up, We Deal in Dreams would be included.

Any thoughts?

For recorded studio tracks that seems to make sense. We got an early live version of susquehanna on the mj reissue that Im not mad at. I want all the songs. The full history.

Agreed. Mostly I was curious if I had missed anything, or if there are TC outtakes we could get surprised with.

I have Supernatural and would love a quality live recording of Dusted. If they want to start doing 3 or 4 disc reissues, with working versions, demos, outtakes, a show or two (regular show + MTV Unplugged?), etc., I will not complain. Give me all the musics, lol.

They need to go all out on this one. It's their masterpiece. Give it the re-release for the casual fan and the deluxe edition for the hardcore fans.

Disc 1 - TC + bsides (I imagine just the three listed in this thread already)
Disc 2 - re-recorded acoustic version (sort of like Tonic's Lemon Parade)
Disc 3 - demos
Disc 4 - live show
Disc 5 - DVD - MTV Unplugged

the b-sides and MTV Unplugged are essentials.

Please dont ruin TC with a newly recorded acoustic release.

Disc 1 deluxe tc with bsides
Disc 2 concert
Disc 3 unplugged

I would be shocked if we got a disc of demos or mtv unplugged

Always nice to see what happens when you read the comments section under a picture from one of the guys on Instagram. Ed sometimes comments on posters. Just confirmed there again that Hold Me Up ‘is coming’. Touring Holland june/july.

I saw those comments ^ on Instagram. Nice to see Spew affirmed. Now they absolutely have to add it to the setlist. I’m anxious to know if their U.S. tour dates will be before Holland, after Holland, or will the U.S. dates sandwich Holland dates?

Some bands have put, or started to put out, 2019 dates. I’m ready. Let’s see ‘em. bounce.gif

Unplugged is pretty well circulated. If it drives up the price I'd rather pass. I'd like a remaster with unreleased material and an amazing era concert.

At this point though, I'd prefer a new album with unreleased TC stuff added to it on a separate disc over a full year trip down memory lane with a rerelease of TC. Let's get the creativity of this reunion going.
