Is There Anything Official From The Band Yet About TC 25th? Options

Do we know yet if a 25th Anniversary Edition of Throwing Copper will actually happen? I know they're promoting the new EP, but I feel like we had way more advance notice for the Mental Jewelry one, and was curious if anyone had any definitive info one way or another.

I wonder if there are any songs that we've never heard of hiding from their recording sessions for the album.

Hopefully, they get around to doing this. They did a great job with the Mental Jewelry re-release.

Wonder if there is an early rare TC show that they could put on the release as they did with the Roxy on MJ.

There's been way more notice for the EP.

The MJ reissue was announced less than 2 months before the release. The EP has been rumored since early this year.

You'll know when TC reissue is announced, it will be big news.

They didn't strictly put MJ out 25 years on the dot. It was more like 25 years and 8 months. So there is no set month to expect the TC reissue in 2019.

My thoughts too. Although - if the full-length really is forthcoming, I bet the TC release is earlier in the year.

I was thinking it's prolly smart to negotiate the TC reissue in the same year as a new studio album, it reduces the chances that an old label uses the new album buzz to release a new best-of in competition with the record.

I definitely don't see a new best-of album coming out anytime soon.

I also think Live are trying spread their releases out. I don't see them releasing more than one product per year.

Oh I don't think it would be a band-authorized release. I'm sorta surprised it didn't happen already with all the reunion buzz - like a Rhino hi-five or "essential Live" compilation.

He’s also mixing ‘something very good’ as we speak. I think it’s something for TC but we’ll see. Also, ‘tons of stuff going on in the stadio that’s LIVE related’.

That was great viewing. Lots of really cool memorabilia and recordings (mater tapes, cassettes, DATS) were shown. Lots of content for any upcoming Throwing Copper anniversary edition.
