Actually, you are so far off with your theories, but if you'd like to proclaim some type of victory in your mind, then by all means continue to thump your chest with repeated self-assertion.

i just threw out my guess, and it's shot down without any explanation from people with a history of protecting the bands image

Whom would you consider the shills around here?

I honestly dont know, but anyone who comes around claiming or reveaing inside info and then smears fans who spectulate or critcize the band would be my guess. Some examples here might be sjn who at least at one point managed Eds fb page followed by a bullshit response to swamis review, and ODT who only shows up to build hype and smear, or gruno who talks to chad, points out the merch section on the website, and confronts negative comments about Live on a regular basis

I dont mind though cause i enjoy insider news, even if I have ignore their agendas

The only thing more embarrassing than what Live has become is to be one of their “shills.” lol.gif

Even sjn and odt are on the same page now lol

And how much did odt love you during the breakup when you despised Ed's direction, now hes suddenly shitting on you since Chad signed off on Eds current efforts

Yes, completely and totally sad that these alleged grown men’s thoughts are entirely informed by a beyond washed up band.

Not a single decent track
Live are not what they used to be. The power and emotion are gone

No reviews yet on Amazon though - http://amzn.to/2QjK8ai

Yeah, the whole thing to anyone with half an objective nut is a total embarrassment. The shills have gotten tired as old people tend to do and now the real reviews are coming out.

So a random negative review is considered more real and objective than a random positive review? Makes sense.

Here’s another shill. And given how unbelievably bad the thing is, yes negative reviews are more objective.

Mixed reviews from my iTunes:

Yawn by MysteryWhiteBoy
"What happened to Ed's lyrics? They've been horrendous since 2000. The music is decent and pretty rockin here, but that's not what I loved about Live. They used to be dynamic and intense. Now it's just forgettable standard rock that doesn't elevate or dive. It's just kinda there. The Turn with Chris Shinn was the best thing they'd done since 1999. Bummed this is such a big step backwards.

Hmmm by Saint Lewis Band
I love older Live music, really liked Ed's solo records, & thought the one Live release minus Ed was alright, but I'm not sure... love track 1.. not so much track 2. Not sure how this is going to go, but I'm glad to see these guys make a run for it again! Btw, thanks for the martini in Nashville back in '11, Ed - I enjoyed our Jesus chat!

Live is Back by tid57
Best band ever! Back with a vengeance!

Where Is The Release of Hold Me Up by Journey 7
I thought for sure that Live would finally have put the kong awaited release of "Hold Me Up" from Zack and Miri Movie on their new album. We, as Live fans, have begged for an official release for years. Now that the band is back together, where is the track we been waiting forever for???? Please guys... at least release the single on iTunes!!!!

Live! i LOVE this band by Journey 7
I love the two songs so far i own every album they done alot or live rarities b sides concerts seen them liove ounce and can't wait for more! Ed from Live is truly an amazing singer and song writer songs like lightning crashes i mean that a really powerful song

Wow.... by myronsd
Nope

There was hope! by Roisterboy
When I first heard Love Lounge, I saw a glimmer of hope on the horizon! I thought "This could be their true comeback!" Well, no so fast!! This EP brings nothing new to the table. With the exception of Love Lounge, the rest of the EP is dull. The lyrics could have been written by a grade school kid!

Ed solo by fupaloop
I saw Ed K. solo set in a SMALL church for charity a few yrs ago. Unbelievable talent! Was really something special.

Surprisingly good! by ThePowerCosmic
"The Distance to Here" was the last great LIVE album for me, so I wasn't expecting much here, but I was pleasantly surprised! This sounds like a natural progression of what I would have expected to come out after "The Distance..." The Vocals and melodies sound more like their later 90's material and I love that the guitars are grittier and more rockin' that the last few LIVE albums. Ed's vocals sound great too! keep going guys... wish it was a full album in this new sound!

Trying to hard by tadyo
Sounds like they lost a lot of footing and are trying really hard to write a single here. So it has that record company sound which i don't like. Also it's very 90's still.

What happened Ed? by Smoosh smoosh
Dear Ed, what can I do to help you bring back the the creativity that gave birth to Throwing Copper? Why continue when this is all you have to offer? Why insist upon joining the milieu of disposable modern Rock bands? Stand out or sit down.

Love it! by Celeste239
Best cover of Venus in Furs!

Great return to form. by SJN1279
First new music from Live in 10 years, and worth the wait. "Be a Giver Man" is my favorite so far, but solid music all around. Can't wait for more!

WELL...? by HACK45
5 TRACKS? NOT REALLY ENGAGING LYRICSS OR MELODIES THAT LIVE IS KNOWN FOR! IT'S OK! GIVE IT A SPIN!

What happened by THE REAL MIKE O
Love Lounge is real good typical Live song. Picks up where they left off with "The Turn" except with Ed back on vocals. After that I don't know where they were trying to go with that but it's straight up bad. I'm hoping they get back to the drawing board and quick.

But the same goes for everyone who was hating on Chris Shinn, and who thought unified theory sucked. Some people even really liked “The Turn” but think that “till you came around” was the only bad track. But that is one of my favorite tracks on the album. Probably because I really like Unified Theory. Which by the way, I would have never even heard of if it wasn’t for the fact that they opened for Live during the Distance to Here tour.

I don’t know... people have different tastes I guess. The new EP and direction the band is going just isn’t for me. And I guess the reason why people can’t believe that some of you really like the new material, is because we all joined this message board because of the first 4 albums. Don’t deny it! You know it’s the truth. It’s been a downward spiral since “V” and we are all desperately trying to hold on to that band we fell in love with. And keep making excuses for them, hoping that they will return to their former selves. But unfortunately as time goes on, we see that doesn’t seem to be the case. It just progressively gets worse. Makes me sad.

Yes, it is sad that some can’t admit that this band has been a total joke for nearly 20 years. It is much sadder that those who not only admitted it but proudly proclaimed it during the Shinn era are now down on their knees because they are so desperate for the band to be decent or relevant again that they have no choice.

If, in your opinion, the band is such a joke for the last 20 years, why would you (or others) consistently come here to slag the band? That is "much sadder" than those who find some value from the band.

Good point, and the best so far from a shill. Live meant so much to me that I too am holding out hope for a miracle in terms of new music that is half as good as the old days. But, I’m not delusional enough to think that these steaming piles they keep releasing are that.
