I beleive I included all songs that have been released or shared directly by the band post SFBM. I included songs that were circulating but not shared or released by the band. I did not include Churchbox songs that were released on SS as a different version or under a different name. Feel free to comment on your choice.

For me it's pretty easy to separate the songs into two groups. Firstly, the lesser stuff:

Beautiful Invisible
Radiant Sea
Purifier
Forever
Love Lounge

... and then the good stuff:

Cheetah
Mallrat
Photograph
Susquehanna

But as for whittling the good stuff down to a single song... hmmmm. I think it's a fight between Mallrat and Photograph, but I don't know the winner. I'll vote for Photograph, but it could be either. And tomorrow I'd say it was Cheetah or Susquehanna, obviously.

Def agree with that assessment.

Those 4 songs are awesome. I think Mallrat my least favorite out of those 4 but I still love it. So much better than the top group of songs.

Susquehanna Live At The Roxy, and it's not even close.

If that was an official release then it would be hands down my favorite and Susquehanna would be a distant 2nd. But that's not a full, official release. And no offense to Seth Rogen, but I don't want the most memorable listening experience I have of that song to be one that includes his chubby, hairy ass chest.

We're not surveying the Zack and Miri clip, we're talking about the media five rip.

I don't know if I've heard that one. I've heard a few fan remasters of the rough copy that most had, which did a lot to clean up mids and raised the bass, along with clearing up some of the "artifacts", but they still have a lot of flaws in them. The mids are still harsh, the bass is muted and muddy sounding, the hissing and uneven audio at times kinda take away from it. It's still not the clean version that the Zach & Miri movie used. A full version of that is a unicorn at this point that only seems to exist inside Live's personal vault. I'm sure some have seen/heard it and fewer still probably have a copy of it they'll never let out of the bag, but for 99% of the fans out there the only truly clean version they've ever heard is the Zach & Miri version.

Absolutely no love so far for their last two singles.

Songs that had been circulating around but never actually released or shared by the band, like Cheetah, Mallrat, Susquehanna, etc.

All of those were older songs but were not actually released / shared until after SFBM.

Gotcha. Well that's some interesting criteria. like someone said, for sure there's a huge divide between the old TC/SS material and the rest. And I guess the band officially recognizes Susquehanna because they released a live version. But I guess hold me up doesn't belong because they only released a couple clips of the song in a movie, so even though it had widespread exposure officially it wasn't the full song. And they embellished the live version several times when the movie came out, and for sure they knew fans would record it, but I guess that's not sharing from the band. Or you could possibly disqualify it if you think the clip played in the outtake from clerks counts as a release back in the 90's.

LOL - It's a fan message board poll, not a law course to prepare for the bar exam.
