Ed's wearing a Nirvana shirt. Don't usually see Ed do that.

Anyone know the attendance at this show? Curious to see if they can fill a basketball arena.

Very glad to see a small change to the setlist (maybe they saw your tweet Dan), hopefully more are in the works. Ed posted on Instagram a picture of a U2 t-shirt from a vintage store in Denver, maybe he picked up a Nirvana shirt too.

I was curious that they were playing an arena in Denver, especially when there are much nicer amphitheaters in the city, Fiddler's Green or the hallowed Red Rocks. After some quick googling it looks like most of the amphitheaters they've played on this tour are about the same size as the Pepsi Center, ~18k.

Red Rocks would have been amazing, I'm guessing the venue was already booked?

Review of the show: https://303magazine.com/2018/07/review-coun...s-pepsi-center/

I haven't watched any of the videos, or paid very close attention to the boards recently, but this was news to me. I know it happens, but a whole song? It's unclear which song, but it sounds like it was Turn My Head.

QUOTE
Kowalczyk forgot the lyrics to an entire song and joked about how he drank too much Jack Daniels. One might give him a free pass for such a mistake, after such a long absence from the scene (the band just recently rejoined for this tour). They continued to play and the crowd paid little attention to this mistake, just another part of a real live performance, pun intended. Although Kowalczyk did forget his own song lyrics, he was quickly able to redeem himself after the audience requested an encore.

He forgot the lyrics to his OWN song? Is Shinn still available?

This, and just about everything they've done since the reunion, are consistent with early onset dementia.

That article is chock full of historical inaccuracies.

Ed’s always forgotten the lyrics since their heyday.

I’m hoping someone has a video of that so we can confirm the degree of truthfulness the author penned

I'm betting Ed loved the idea of getting through a song without having to sing it, and just have the crowd sing the whole thing. I hate it when bands let the crowd sing, but Ed needs to pamper those vocal chords because his voice can't handle stress like it used to. I wouldn't be surprised if the elevation was a factor in Denver, making him short on breath too.

Been to a lot of Live concerts. Never seen him forget lyrics. I did see him have the band play They Stood Up For Love a second time during a show because he said they weren't good enough the first time.

He messed up White Discussion, and it was only the part about being erect.
