That blows!! Why can't they tour with an actual ROCK band, and be a ROCK band again?!?!? Bush would have been a great pairing!

I'm excited about Live on tour but for me CC sucks. Except for Mr. Jones I've never like anything they've done. Saw them once (with Live) and ther were bad - Adam even forgot the words to Long December and they had to restart the song.

If Live played with Bush and CC I would say CC should be the short set opener, but if Live is happy with the arrangement it is what it is. I'd rather see them as a solo main act.

Hopefully tickets are reasonable because if Live plays first, which is the case if he is actually telling people they are opening for CC, I'm probably not sticking around to watch CC again.

Peoples!!! I just met Adam Duritz from Counting Crows on my plane to Austin, and he confirmed he’s touring with LiVE this summer!!!

Not a surprise that Jon Slow (Snow) would think Live will be touring with "Crows".

Well that sucks IMO. When Live toured with Counting Crows back in 2000 that distinctly marked Live's fall from grace as a band. Short set lists, opened for an inferior band, gave railo the spotlight, weak all around.

Going off Live's play counts on YouTube and Spotify, as well as their social media following, it's pretty clear that Counting Crows is the bigger band in 2018. Shame because that relegates Live to opener status, and even with a long setlist, a lot of people won't be there to see Live.

Is this a definite thing? It sounds like one post on Facebook without any confirmation anywhere else. Don't get me wrong, it could be true and hats off to Jon Slow for breaking the news if it is. But i will wait til we hear from a second source before I get upset.

If it is true that Live accepts to be “downgraded” to opening status and not even billed as coheadliners, let alone NOT giving U.S. fans the reunion headlining tour they DESERVE:

A) Australian fans really made out like bandits
B) My butt will be staying home this summer and seeing Live in concert the proper way will remain on my bucket list.

I really hope this isn't true. This was the beginning of the end for them the last time they toured with these guys. Counting Crows blow, they have no energy in concert. I went to a few shows on the last tour they did together and went right up front for Live because hardly anyone was there and then bolted as I didn't want to stay to see them. Does Ed still have a man crush on Adam Duritz like he did on that tour? They did a slow caress together on Dolphin's Cry. Live should be doing their own tour. We're going to get screwed on a shortened set now because of them opening for an inferior band. I don't care what spotify and twitter followers show, they are not on par with Live.

Agreed, but as long as i get to see videos of new songs performed i'll be glad that they are on any tour.

I really hope the tour dates are released this weekend.
Yesterday I heard Stone Temple Pilots’ new song and of course, they have dates. I actually double checked the date of Scott Weiland's death to see if they are on a faster pace than Live. Haha.

Chad Taylor promoted The Vettes (?) album release on his Instagram story today. I checked out their Facebook. Seems their summer is open for tour dates. So I’m starting the rumor of Live headlining and The Vettes opening. Yea. I like that rumor better.
