A friend of mine Jeff suggested I upload this. He was in love with PJ Harvey and Veruca Salt and I didn't mind seeing LIVE who of course were very popular at the time. This was recorded from the front row which is not exactly the best place to be acoustically. I did my best to boost some of the dynamics to give it some more presence. I hope you all like it.

Dusted is a cover track that Live performed during their tour for Throwing Copper. It was originally recorded by the band called Guided By Voices.

Live usually does excellent jobs with their covers but this one is pretty average. In my opinion Live's worst cover. That being said it's not all Live's fault - the original is boring and you can't polish a turd.

I think the song is basically ok. The original version is hard to listen to. It's almost like they were deliberately trying to make it sound as rough as possible. They succeeded. It hurts my ears. An audience recording of Live's version far surpasses the 'studio' original.
