No really unreleased songs, but I guess that was just me wishfull thinking.
Nice way to celebrate MJ anyway!

About the live cd: was this the full setlist that they played that night? Not even all songs of their single album they had back in the day?
Also: never knew Susquehanna was already played around that time! Thought it was a real TC song an created around that era (does that make me a bad LIVE fan? sarcasm.gif )

This is worth getting just for Susquehanna (Live version) remastered, bet it sounds great.
Also, i don't really care about vinyl, never have, but to each their own - give me the cd or digital and i'm good.

Musicassette, interesting lol.gif For sure I'm getting the cd-pair, looking forward to the freshly remixed live recording of those early days. Don't have too much interest in the other goodies.

NB: funny they refer to the Roxy show as July 16 while you can see on the CD it prints July 13 (which is correct)

No surprises about there being no 'new' studio tracks. Curious choice to put the Club Mix of PLOTR before Heaven Wore A Shirt and Negation in the tracklist, surely would have been better placed at the end?

Love what they've done to update/modernise the cover artwork too:

IPB Image

I wonder if the album itself is actually remastered (rather than just made louder). Not that I think it needs it - it's already a very good sounding album.

Really looking forward to the Roxy show - especially for Susquenhanna (I thought they'd make a bigger deal about that and Born Branded being previously unreleased?).

The PLOTR sample finally revealed to me what the hell Ed used to yell before starting the song ("The riverside is where I... (walk)" smile.gif

Here's the audio for those who missed it in the RS article:

I always thought there was quite a chance of them tacking on a couple new studio tracks on this MJ anny project. Since they aren't, this is confirmation for me that we are actually going to see a new full Live album in 2018 or 19.

I don't really see the connection, but I'm curious to hear new music.

I would think new studio album Spring 2018. I can see 2019 a reissue of Throwing Copper with b sides.

Have to say I'm pretty impressed with how they've gone all out on the different formats and colourings.

Good stuff, fair play, well done.

Shame there's no *new* material, but maybe they simply don't have anything else to offer in terms of unreleased studio recordings from MJ. Can't imagine they had a lot of money to burn at the time, so maybe Born Branded, Negation and HWAS is all there is.

Shipping costs from MissingInk are very high indeed. I would wait before the releases start to surface in local shops. It looks like at least the CD and vinyl be distributed worldwide via Geffen/Universal:

New Mental Jewelry 2CD, EAN 0602557549812
New Mental Jewelry Vinyl, EAN 0602557475067

Can I ask where you find out this information? The EAN numbers and who's going to distribute them?
