I thought it was very good. Especially given how little time they must have had to learn it.

I don't know about you all, but I swear the first two lines of the song sounded like Ed's old voice. "Pearls and swine." Just listen to those words over and over again. I don't speak music vocabulary, so I don't know how to describe it properly, but it was that lower, grittier Ed that was prevalent in the mid-90s.

I really hope they do the full song tonight (they skipped the instrumental bridge and the repeat of the chorus at the end). Not blaming them, but man would it be cool to hear the boys rip on the section.

Overall, A+ job.

Not bad, but nobody can compare to the original.

I did listen to a bunch of songs from the show, they sounded pretty good. Ed was bringing it on vocals on I Alone especially.

And that link is a fantastic rendition.

Dude just had an amazing, haunting voice. Say Hello 2 Heaven is possibly the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

I doubt anyone was trying to. Yeah, those other posts from the show sound pretty damned good.

Didn't mean to imply he was trying to, just pointing out that Chris Cornell had one of those voices that simply cannot be beat. He'll be missed.

He certainly had a gift, that's for sure.

Wow, you're right! I listened to it a few times. I got legit chills like back in the day. He made that sound - that note, that vibe, whatever it is.

Looks like Live will also take Soundgarden's slot at Rocklahoma.
