Live - The Turn, Do you consider it a Live album? Options

Big difference between these 2 records. TGF really is a old-fashionned rock record with Kevin Martin's influence.

In fact, the Turn has some of the old Live sounds from Secret Samadhi. The guitar work in NBK is annexample of that.

One of the only Unified Theory influence is on till you come around, probably Chris's song all along, but still a beautiful one.

"In fact" there is *zero* SS Live sound in NBK guitar work. Just try to name one guitar part in SS that sounds like the guitar in NBK in either production or melody.

Yeah maybe not Gracious Theory. Sounds more like Live Theory. Shinn's influence is way more than just TYCA, like since he sings on every track and wrote some of the album.

The way the guitar flows in the prechorus, just before Shinn sings put your foot down. That particular B note is reminiscent from SS. Guitar solo also.

What you "consider" to be a Live album is irrelevant. It's a Live album, whether you recognise it as such or not, and TGF is a TGF album, also regardless of your perceptions or desires.

What you tell me to consider is also irrelevant.

People can argue until the end of time about whether The Turn is a Live album in spirit, in tone, in essence etc etc. But in terms of pure fact, it is. If you want to argue with reality then have at it, but lols to you.

Also, true story, I just went to listen to it on Spotify having forgotten they took it down.
