I don't get why you guys don't get that The Turn has not been banished from the Live catalog forever. It will be listed and made available again at some point, people! Trust me!! You guys are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Do you know something most of us don't? Coz the way it's looking is that it has been removed from their history. Why would you remove it and then relist it 'at some point'? Doesn't make sense. Acknowledging it makes sense. Did Ed remove his music from sale?

The point is that they are both separate entities and not part of the LIVE brand.

Sure, so Ed gets it both ways.

I'm not really sure what you are getting at here. The Turn will be available again at some point I'm sure. The question was asked if Ed or TGF would pull their original music and there is absolutely no reason too because neither act is associated with the LIVE brand. They have members of LIVE in them but they are a completely separate entity.

So how is Ed getting it both ways then?

Ed left LIVE so he was a separate entity as well but it's ok for him to still sell his solo stuff. The Turn was part of LIVE but we are considered to be making a mountain out of a molehill when we question its disappearance.

It's a big assumption that Ed has even listened to The Turn. Although he should if he wants some tips on how to record a decent Live album.

The Turn didn't sound like a Live album at all outside of Siren's Call, where the riff was written in the 90s.

I disgree, it sounds like absolutely classic Live on the musical side, but with a different voice.

Exactly. For example, if you listen closely you can hear the strong similarities in the song structure between 6310 and I Alone. I also hear some of We Deal In Dreams (One of my all-time favorites) in the beginning of that song. And Don't Run to Wait is strikingly similar to Stage. Just two examples. But The Turn definitely sounds like Live music with a different vocalist. And frankly I don't think that Chris's vocals on that album sound too dissimilar to Ed's.

The disappearance of The Turn is something that obviously has to do internally with the band. TGF and Ed's solo stuff have nothing to do with the band other than there are members present in both acts. Really not that hard to understand. This is coming from someone who loves The Turn and has had it in the CD changer in my car since it was released. So I understand the frustration behind it, but it's apples to oranges when comparing The Turn to solo Ed releases and TGF.

100% disagree. It had a very 90's style LIVE sound.

TGF did not have much of a LIVE sound to me as it was more like a classic rock vibe. Same with Ed's solo stuff it had a much more poppy sound than any LIVE albums outside of SFBM.

I 100% think that The Turn definitely sounded like Live just with Chris at the helm. TGF sounded nothing like Live, in my opinion, and that's because it WASN'T Live. Look, i make it no secret that I really liked Chris as a musician and as an all around decent human being. And while I don't particularly care for Ed, I can't and won't deny his talent. But to me, the "sound" of Live lies mostly in the music itself, not the vocals or the lyrics. And The Turn was DEFINITELY a Live album.
