Can't see it. Can somebody post a screen shot?

In the wake of Live’s recent announcement, I want to say how proud and thankful I am for what we were able to accomplish over the past 5 years. We wrote and recorded “The Turn." We toured the US, Europe and even made it to Australia. We became business partners. More than all that, I became friends with some wonderful people I wouldn’t have known otherwise: my brothers Chad Taylor, Chad Gracey, Patrick Dalheimer; everyone who played or worked with the band; all the great fans; and in particular the dear friends I will always have in York, PA. Without reservation, I am truly thankful. This has been an amazing chapter in my life. I will carry this forward with me for the rest of my life.

I have known about this decision for the past 8 months. It is a business decision, first and last. I have always worked under the assumption this day would arrive; so, it didn't come as a shock to me. That said, now that the day has arrived, my heart is broken. I will truly miss being a key part of such an epic band.

I have used the past 8 months to process and mourn this loss from a personal perspective. In some ways, it is a bittersweet relief to finally have it out in the open. After the announcement, I avoided getting online for fear of reading unkind words. But after Katie and others close to me insisted, I relented and slowly began reading the online comments. I was shocked at the positive response. It was unreal and completely unexpected. For every kind word, I want you to know from the bottom of my heart: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You will never know how much your words have encouraged me through a difficult personal crossroads. I only hope I can return the favor in the future.

For the future, I hope my brothers find continued success. Live is iconic, legendary. I know I speak for all past and future fans in encouraging Live to keep playing, keep creating and by all means, keep touring. It has been so much fun making music with you. It has been so much fun laughing with you. I love you all so much and I look forward to hearing even greater things to come.

My next chapter has already started. I have begun to demo new songs for my next record, chipping away at the backlog of ideas from past 3 years. I’ve also begun to draw up plans for a studio and event space I will build in Charlotte in 2017.

Finally, I will always have great pride that my contribution to the band will live on in “The Turn,” the record we worked so hard on and had such a great time making. It warms my heart that my brothers found it worthy to continue to stand in Live’s epic catalog.

I hope all of my friends and fans will continue to stay connected and I hope 2017 is a breakout year for us all.

Very classy. Such a shame CCP couldn't take five seconds to write a couple of sentences thanking him when they announced Ed's return.

Really looking forward to whatever Chris does next. Love his solo album.

Beautifully written. Maybe holding a bit back and a bit safe but speaks volumes for who the man is. Shame Live weren't able to extend the same back.

Exactly. He is the one getting hit and he is the most classy. He stands above the situation. CCPE put their head in the sand, no more no less. That was a shame.

Really looking for everythink he puts up. Great man.

Chris Shinn is a total class act. I have had several opportunities to speak with him at length and he was truly a gracious, humble, kind and warm human being toward me. And he is a fan of Live and also a fan of Live's fans, while being a member of the actual band. His first appearance on stage on March 12, 2012, as he emerged from the cloud of smoke to Damn At Otter Creek gave me goosebumps. I had never heard that song as an opener and the entire band absolutely relentlessly CRUSHED it. I never thought I would see CCP perform Live music again at that point and that whole show was overwhelmingly satisfying. I will never forget the opener and the performance of T.B.D. At that show. And the Pillars of Davidson at the Throwing Copper show in Atlantic City was epic. One fo the best Live performances I have ever seen. I have said many times before that I thank Kevin Martin and Chris Shinn for bringing CCP out of the malaise and emotional dead zone that followed the infamous "hiatus" and rekindled their creative spark. They showed them life after the hiatus and not only bridged the gap between 2009 and this reunion, but actually fueled a resergance of high energy rock n' roll that laid dormant and untapped for many years. They helped CCP go from Songs From Black Mountain to creating The Gracious Few and the rock sound of The Turn, and put out performances like we saw from The Gracious Few and Live over the last 5 or 6 years years. Of course I'm not taking anything away from CCP in all of that. But I think the record should not take anything away from Chris either. Fair is fair. It took a big man to step in front of the microphone left by Ed and a big man to post this gracious epilogue to his time in Live, without controversy or coarseness. And ALL Live fans should thank Chris, because IF we start to see Live return to their rock roots and alternative sounding music, it will be because of Chris Shinn, not despite him. They were not headed in that direction when they were together recording SFBM. And Live continued without Ed and sounded like hard rock. And now Ed is back in the band and they are all fired up and ready to rock. When Live released "The Turn" Chad described it as something he learned from the movie business - as the turning point of the story structure where there is rising action and the climax. It is appropriate that Chris Shinn and The Turn were "the turn" for Live. I don't know if they knew how poignant that was in the larger view fo the history of this band. I hope Chris reads this.

Too bad humbleness and sincerity hardly work nowadays.

Thank you, Chris. Thanks for your work, your honesty and enormous hope you gave us with only 1 album.

Thank god we have this album.

Chris has always been a class act, going back to the Unified Theory days. Always very kind and generous with his time and attention to the fans.

I do have a question about this sentence though, "It warms my heart that my brothers found it worthy to continue to stand in Live’s epic catalog."

Do we know where he referring to? Because I just check the official website, and I still don't see "The Turn" available for sale?

This is the guy that Bill Hynes, the spokesman for Live, came on these very boards and relentlessly trashed.

Let that sink in.

I can tell you where my money will be going in 2017. It won't be for Live's "business decision".

I don't believe that is the only reason. Sounds like Shinn is trying to make it sound like it couldn't possibly have anything to do with him or the fact most of the fans wanted the original lineup back. I'm sure ECCP have wanted to give it another try also, they are almost life-long friends and probably missed being in a band together and the comradary.

Chris would excuse himself for the times he messed with lyrics. I think he did after TBD at the AC/TC show.

The pillar of davidson version of that same show was just perfect. In a show in which the energy wasn't perfect for some reasons, that song just stunned all the fans. It was the only song fans were talking about after that show.

We can't say thanks again to this amazing guy with which I could only spend 5 minutes in the 2 times I met him, but he clearly helped CCP and even E on his way.
