What to expect from +Live+..., now that Ed is back Options

I always preferred Pat's basswork in TC to MJ. I don't mind the slap style, but I think his finger style is much more refined. Stuff like TBD and Pillar of Davidson stands out as fantastic bass playing to me.

EDIT: And Iris... how could I forget Iris.

From what I understand, Scott Stapp is an absolute moron with severe behavioral health problems, and he wanted to continue that train wreck to prevent his own destitution. The rest of the band said no, and continued on with Alter Bridge. I can't blame them. They made their money, and almost anything is better than Creed.

TFG did not perform nearly as well as Alter Bridge, so I think CCP are looking to play Live music for the foreseeable future. Ed, while borderline sociopathic, is not a moron, is not destitute, but will probably do anything to preserve his legacy within the context of Live (i.e., be the ONLY one singing live songs).

that is a bit why a song could have been good before christmas. To show a commitment that they already work together and that everything is still there. Instead it's all speculations as always.

After that countdown, having no new song(s) was a dumb move. I knew a full album was too much to ask, but 1-3 songs or the very least, releasing a rarity should have been easy. No news since Dec. 12th and now I'm bored again. They do this rollercoaster thing with my emotions and it sucks.
Who is LIVE's manager?! They need a new one.

We don't agree much but in the spirit of Christmas we 100% agree on this.

Stapp was misdiagnosed for a long time, I think he's doing better now, but no need to trash someone. Ed may have some major ego rock star self righteousness to himself, but its probably necessary to have a bit of that and narcissism to be a front man. With so many expectations, most of us will be disappointed. Be happy it happened, and welcome what's to come. Who knows, maybe there will be a suprise on NYE. They are actually working together on new music, something they haven't done in over 17 years. If they want to take their time working out the kinks, I think that is a good thing.

Agreed. They're a lot smarter to wait until they have real single material than to release whatever the first thing they record together happens to be.

so what, most of us have families and don't make half arsed promises and airy fairy announcements over and over again unless it's 'behave yourself or Santa won't come'. I'm over hearing about them having families, having other interests and being so well off that they 'don't need to do this'. Good for them, don't do it then. Go out with a bit of dignity still intact.

I also don't see that major ego/self righteousness/narcissism in Eddie Vedder so no, I don't believe it's necessary to have all that to be a front man.

Isn't that also Ed's solo management? Their management info is on the website too. So far as I know it has been since it came back up.
