Yes, Ed is back for good. Live has been recording new music and are planning a world tour for 2017.

So, I hate to say this but yeah, someone said to me they might pull a "creed" on us here meaning they are only doing this tour and then done. Creed just did that. I hope this isn't the case however.

From what I understand, Scott Stapp is an absolute moron with severe behavioral health problems, and he wanted to continue that train wreck to prevent his own destitution. The rest of the band said no, and continued on with Alter Bridge. I can't blame them. They made their money, and almost anything is better than Creed.

TFG did not perform nearly as well as Alter Bridge, so I think CCP are looking to play Live music for the foreseeable future. Ed, while borderline sociopathic, is not a moron, is not destitute, but will probably do anything to preserve his legacy within the context of Live (i.e., be the ONLY one singing live songs).

They need to do another countdown.. and with 3 hours remaining change their website again to announce they're having so much fun and so thrilled how the new music is coming along that they've decided to stay together for the long run and continue to make music for decades to come.

Otherwise it's just another "1 year reunion of a has-been band". They need to show more confidence in themselves. They need to show that their craft is good and worthy of everyone's attention, not just the core fan base. From what I've read, it seems like they might wait and see how the tour and album sells and then make a decision from there. I wish they'd come out and say we're serious about this, and we're in it for the long haul.

that is a bit why a song could have been good before christmas. To show a commitment that they already work together and that everything is still there. Instead it's all speculations as always.

After that countdown, having no new song(s) was a dumb move. I knew a full album was too much to ask, but 1-3 songs or the very least, releasing a rarity should have been easy. No news since Dec. 12th and now I'm bored again. They do this rollercoaster thing with my emotions and it sucks.

I think some tour dates will be confirmed in January. Basically the whole entertainment world shuts down for Xmas/New Years. January should offer some updates.

I'm guessing they were trying to set the stage for next year. I think a new EP or something would have been good, but on the other hand, it makes sense there's no new music yet. We're still ripping them to pieces over Ed and Chris. They're smart to let people work that out before releasing something.

They are actually working together on new music, something they haven't done in over 17 years. If they want to take their time working out the kinks, I think that is a good thing.
