Part of me is with you, but part of me asks how many successful fiber optic company partners, race team owners, music company owners, and real estate company owners (I may be off there but you get the idea) are also successful rock stars? I would venture to say not very many. I would like to see them do one or the other and COMPLETELY blow the world away.

I do understand that people change and that lives change, and families grow, and at some point you have to hang it up, and if that's what's going to happen, I can respect that too. If Live is not aware that their spokesperson/friend/business partner is on their only fan board losing them fans then they obviously could care less about their brand.

I've been a member of several message boards over the years of different bands and sports teams. I actually read this board for quite a few years before I joined because to me, Live has got some fans that are truly of a different breed. I did not want to be part of all the bickering about Ed because as I said earlier, I didn't care. I think out of all the threads ever existing on this board, this one makes me the saddest. People have mentioned the band possibly reading this garbage, or worse yet, after reading it, sending in a friend to gloss things over. My initial thought to that is, "Pfft! Yea right, there's NO WAY the band cares or has time to read and worry about what is said on this old-school message board. Especially to say, "Oh my God, things are really getting out of hand over there at Fans of Live! We need to send Bill in there to diffuse the situation!" Really?! Does that not seem a little crazy to you? Yea, yea, sure... I've wondered at times if ECCP might read what we post in here or are aware that it exists, as it's the day & age where entertainment personalities really do interact with us on the Internet. But after this thread, I flush red with embarrassment at the mere thought it is out there for the band to possibly see. I hope they stick to Facebook. The retirement comment, although it was speculated here months ago, this time because it was said out of spite, actually hurt my heart. How sad and discouraging. So again, I hope ECCP don't read this, as it has the biggest group of "Debbie-Downers" I have ever seen. Fans of Live? With fans like this, who needs enemies?

There's making money and there is outright lying to your fans to make money. And cheesy, cheap, rip off ways of making money...fucking stick figures and phone calls?? Haha

Yes it is the consumers choice whethere they press the "add item to cart" button, but that doesn't make it any less lame that they tried to sell that item in the first place. I believe that Live put making money above artistic integrity and basically everything else music "should" be about these days. Ed did for a long time and now Live are following suit. They fell into bed with dodgy businessmen like Bill and I guess that rubs off on people the wrong way. I don't hate people making money, I'm broke af at the moment trying to do my masters, god damn do I want some money. But how people make money isn't the same in every context. The industry I am going into, for example, I would be mortified if people went into the same industry to make money. That's not what it is about. The real estate industry? That is a bit different. The music industry? If you're in a band, then to me, money should be the biproduct of, or the cherry on top of just going out and making the best music you can. And I mean Live...anyways. No, I don't hate people who want to make money.

Inclined to think that they would and everything will make sense.
I will say this again ED has not ever taken a penny from the guys. However, that doesn't mean someone didn't. It's only natural to have emotion if you THINK someone did something to harm you.
People in this world get framed all the time.

Bottom line, when everyone found out the truth, everyone apologizes and decided to move on. First as friends. It's been a long time coming.
I said things I regret and I apologize to everyone for that. However at the time I was under a certain impression. The last thing your going to do is give props to someone. When I found out the truth, there probably wasn't a happier person for CCP, because I know how they all missed each other. For those selfish people who didn't want Ed back. Get a life. That man is responsible for Live along with CCP. It's their body of work. I' also said those things about him when I didn't even know him. My fault again. I have gotten to know him and I have also know Chris. This is not a knock on Chris at all.
Having seen Ed WORK up close and personally. This fucking guy is a PRO. He truly knows his craft and there really is no comparison. It was very easy to see what CCP missed and why the 4 of them works so well as a unit. Just be prepared.... they are going to floor everyone.
