I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Chad, Chad, Patrick & Jerry Harrison wrote the majority of the turn.

I'm quite aware of that. And with Chris on vocals. Maybe that was why I really enjoyed The Turn. Bit of fresh talent into a tired line up. Worked with The Gracious Few as well. Enjoyed their stuff.

Bringing them back together with Ed, yeah, I don't know about that. That's what I'm talking about.

Aside from that, it's the other stuff. The back stabbing, accusations, the hating each other's guts and then all of a sudden, nahh, we're all good.

We're not all gullible idiots.

There's making money and there is outright lying to your fans to make money. And cheesy, cheap, rip off ways of making money...fucking stick figures and phone calls?? Haha

Yes it is the consumers choice whethere they press the "add item to cart" button, but that doesn't make it any less lame that they tried to sell that item in the first place. I believe that Live put making money above artistic integrity and basically everything else music "should" be about these days. Ed did for a long time and now Live are following suit. They fell into bed with dodgy businessmen like Bill and I guess that rubs off on people the wrong way. I don't hate people making money, I'm broke af at the moment trying to do my masters, god damn do I want some money. But how people make money isn't the same in every context. The industry I am going into, for example, I would be mortified if people went into the same industry to make money. That's not what it is about. The real estate industry? That is a bit different. The music industry? If you're in a band, then to me, money should be the biproduct of, or the cherry on top of just going out and making the best music you can. And I mean Live...anyways. No, I don't hate people who want to make money.

Anyway... Why all the arguing here (again)?? Bill is a business man. CCP are business men. I am too. I want to make money. Doesn't mean that I have to, or need to. And it sure isn't anyone's business outside of my wife and I. Seems that these guys should be in the same boat; Ed included.

Who the hell are "we" to judge these guys on their motivations. I like their music. I don't care why they want to get together and play it. Bring it!!! I'm excited!!

I think the issue is CCP/Bill/AND OTHERS went on and on and on and on and on and on and on about how shitty of a friend, person, artist, etc Ed is. This went on for YEARS. It completely split the fan base as we know.

And suddenly they are back together and the very people who spent those YEARS telling us that Ed is the worst person on the planet are now telling us "Naaaaaah it is okay, jump back on the bandwagon! Live in the future! All is good!"

And they are doing this WITHOUT any kind of explanation. They just expect us to go "OH! OK! YAY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE BAND TOLD ME TO DO THIS! WHERE IS THE MERCH TABLE GUYS?!?!?!"

And when some of us here didn't immediately bend a knee Bill immediately went into Bill Hynes mode and started calling people "shit bags".

All fans want to know is WHAT HAPPENED. Like, just tell us. Fans are forgiving. Look at any major sport. Kobe Bryant raped a girl but scores 35 a game so he is a hero and a Hall of Famer.

If Live just came out and just TOLD US what is up, then released Hold Me Up, then we would all be on board and loving it.

Instead they treat fans like plebs.

I think it's entirely possible that Ed never stole, or at least, whatever happened didn't quite go down the way we were lead to believe. It is possible, however I'd say unlikely.

But if it was, then, ok as you say, CCP never made anyone join in with them and follow them and believe them, but they actively encouraged it. If the whole thing is their fuck up and there was an entire mess that they were more than happy to have play out in public, then to me, they should man up and also explain in public exactly why they were wrong. Sending an attack dog into FOL to call people shit bags the minute they don't believe a one sentence exoneration of Ed is really badly handled and shows just what Live thinks of their fans, their loyalty and their intelligence.

Just trying to hand wave it away. Or give the most generic PR friendly explanation of something like "brothers fight, everyone made mistakes, let's move on, new music!!" Yeah music may be all well and good, but that is absolutely treating fans that stuck by them like dirt. It reflects terribly on Live. How can you believe a single thing they say? And more to that, how can you believe in the genuine nature of the music given the source of where it comes from. There would always be this black cloud hanging over the band and the music unless they man up.

Why do some of you folks not get it, people work things out. What i gather from all of this is - Some of you want LIVE to continue with Shinn, and really WISH that Ed and CCP still hated each other so they would continue on with Shinn.
