Also, Ed's freakiness started WAY earlier than some of you say.--Why just poke fun of American Idol Ed or Dolphin's Cry Ed? What about the blonde headed Ed from 1997? As in this performance (and others from that same show)...

I don't think they will play anything from the Turn or from Ed's solo albums.

I think the new music may sound a bit like The Gracious Few and The Turn and God Don't Change and Believe which was one of the last things CCP wrote for Ed. But I hope it doesn't. That stuff is heavy, and I like heavy. But I don't like Live because their heavy. I don't think that Live does heavy all that well. It just sounds one dimensional to me when Live does it. I think that WHite Discussion and Lakini's Juice are about as heavy as "good" Live got, but those songs are deep, rich, and nuanced. I like when Live is deep, rich and nuanced. Not poppy. No la da das. Not trying to be heavy. No screaming and repetitive guitar riffs. I would like the new music to sound like it could come off of The Distance To Here. Or Mental Jewelry. (Have I mentioned that I love Mental Jewelry?)

I would guess they do not do anything off The Turn. Not taking a swipe at him, but Ed has no interest in doing those songs.

Ed is high as hell in that video.

And we may be splitting hairs, but that isn't "I am so sexy watch me shake my ass" Ed. We are talking about the times Ed does the shirt unbuttoning, and then air humps and hip swivels and falsettos for an entire song and into the next song.

Being a gal, I obviously do not mind shirt unbuttoning, air humps, and hip swivels as much as you do. High or not, Ed's been eccentric since the beginning. Dude was probably weird in Kindergarten. It makes him genius at the same time.

I'd be very surprised, to be honest. By the same token, it would seem only fair to me that Ed doesn't wedge any solo material in there. Either they both get one (Sirens Call and.... Zion, maybe?) or none at all. Probably the latter.

Yeah I wonder what material will make the setlist and what won't make it.

Honest Man is TGF material, but musically it started as a LIVE song.
Zion is an Ed solo song, but was written for LIVE. Ialways wondered how ot would have sounded with CCP.
TGF tried to cover LJ a few times, but that didn't work.
There are quite some crossovers that makes it interesting.

I would have respect for Ed if he even tried to sing songs from The Turn, after everything that happened. Chris used his songs, Ed can try Chris'.

You still have the original post to admire. Just a quick question - Are you drunk? Because that would explain alot!

The bolded part I have no issue with. This is the case with lots of talented people (like me).

The other part...I will take your word for it. I am sure women liked to watch Ed do those things. And from reading past threads it looks like some of the men enjoyed it as well.

I have always been an advocate for a Live/TGF/Candlebox set. Just get together and jam. No one has to "open" for anyone. Hell, Shinn could even come in and be a part of it.

Yup. It always makes me laugh ehen people long for the SS days, meanwhile those were some of the weirdest lyrics ever. Or when they get mad about religious/water related lyrics. I mean, did you ever listen to early Live? Every other song had a religion or water reference.

Ed or Shinn? Because I scrolled through quite a few posts of people going after Shinn.

I appreciate Shinn giving it a try, working with CCP and reviving the Live banner. That being said I think he is a horrible vocalist.

The majority of people who want to see a Live reunion want to hear the classic material, and don't know or care about "The Turn" at all.

Ed's solo material won't be making the set either.
