I too have reservations about what Ed can bring, but I just can't dismiss the elation I feel about Live being back in its original form. It's as if an old friend, who you thought was dead and buried, has come back to life and is promising that all those good times you've had, you'll have again. I just hope with Ed at the helm, he can take it back to where it began thematically.

For me, +live+ was at its best when it strived to answer the question "what does it mean to live?" A question it lost sight of in its later years. A question it needs to answer again. Because NOBODY did it better!

It is truly ironic that over the last several years the fan base has chosen their anthems of which which they were proud. Which became portraits of a divided crowd. They let it go and we will all get it back together.

Eh, can't help feel the way you feel. Don't feel sorry for me, even though I wish I could be as excited as others. Ed has just turned into something I truly detest in so many ways, so to me it's potentially the very end of things for me as a fan, which I have been since 92. So, yeah, that's sad and I'd love to be blown away by it, but yeah, can't help but feel how I feel.

I'm just one voice in a mostly minority. I understand the majority of people will be psyched because they want Ed and they couldn't accept change etc. So I understand people being excited about it, from one point of view anyways. If you love it, then feel it and enjoy it. If you don't, you remain critical and cautious and either walk away or wait to have your fears confirmed or quashed - where you either get on board or you walk away then. Everyone is going to have their own path with it. If this is where my Live journey ends then The Turn is a fine send off for me

This is how I feel as well. I'll just take a back seat and watch it all unfold.

If they are doing a re-release, i am personally more interested in Secret Samadhi. But what I really want is a new album and a rarities/unreleased cd, possibly included with said album. we may get both, you never know.

We know from CT's posts that they've been in the studio. I'm comfortable assuming we're getting at least something new and/or re-recorded.

With the annonce and thentime of the year, Imwouldn't be surprised to get a new so g dor Christmas with a toir announcement. They went in the studio, quite evident they spent some time recording.

Based on what is publicly available at this time, I don't know how one could conclude anything other than the fact that they are back together, reconciled, spending time together and working on projects. And based on what we know know about their conflict, it is safe to assume that they did not reunite without turning back toward 4 way collaboration, which is, in my opinion, what they do best. It is truly ironic that over the last several years the fan base has chosen their anthems of which which they were proud. Which became portraits of a divided crowd. They let it go and we will all get it back together. Let's be open to the possibilities. Let's embrace the path that has been travelled and root for where it can hopefully be headed. I would love to see no more fighting among the fan base, for the sake of the band we are all fans of. I still believe that a band that wrote an album perfectly encapsulating the brilliant universal spirituality of the written work You Are The World (Mental Jewelery) as teenagers is capable of reconciliation and new brilliant creative work. I'll be in the front row for that.

Based on past history, there is a strong chance you will be let down immensely.

I hope they come strong, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I know music is based on what you personally like and it isn't about how much money the band makes or popularity. That being said, i would be lying if i wasn't pulling for +Live+ to be a somewhat popular band again and have regular airplay and be relevant on the charts. This band was #1 in America at one time. I know that will never happen again, obviously, but i would be very happy for ECCP if they were a force in the music industry again. I just want some good music personally, but for the band to be a household name again would be icing on the cake.

I hope ithey have enough success for it to be worth it to them to keep going for a while. Anything else is gravy, though I admittedly would prefer some gravies over others.
