QUOTE(Bremang @ Sep 27 2016, 3:00 pm) *

How about just releasing these songs 20 years later on an SS anniversary - Shadow Hill Way recordings

I think they should release all the "Rarities" on as many Cd's as it takes to fit them like the "Smashing Pumpkins" did: http://thepumpkins.net/music/204-music-mashed-potatoes (and that is just songs from '88 - '93). I have alot more ideas to suggest about this but i'm tired as hell. surrender.gif

SP has an absurd amount of non-album tracks, Billy keeps pulling more stuff out of the vault even between all the reissues.

He knows the fans want to hear them, that's why he does it. I'm sure Live has alot of tracks also and we want to hear them!

I used to call the LIVE hotline before Secret Samadhi came out and they would run down some of the song names at the time. I remember clear as day that there was a song called "Wrap Me Round", but i don't know if it is an unreleased song or an early title to a song we know. I also remember them saying "Crayons" (which is Mallrat officially) as a title because my friend and i were laughing about it.

Funny thing abut Crayons - On the Churchbox Sessions "Crayons" is said in Century (return to crayons) and never in Mallrat once.

Crayons was definitely Century as shown by the Churchbox demos, but can't say I've ever heard of "Wrap me Round" being mentioned, unless memory is totally failing me.

There is a listing somewhere that shows LIVE's previously unreleased material and it says Mallrat (aka Crayons). I thought it was a misprint also, didn't make sense. Wrap Me Round was definetely a song read off during my call to the LIVE hotline. My friend and i still talk about it from time to time, trust me.

It also says Overcome, Horse, Sun and Vine Street are unpublished Live songs...
Maybe they're talking about different versions, but still kinda weird.
If they count different versions, why didn't they include remixes of Deep Enough, Run To The Water and Run Away (to name a few).

Interesting if Crayons was both the working title for Mallrat and Century. Unless there was miscommunication somewhere along the line and what was passed on by the band as Crayons was attributed to Mallrat, who knows.

I guess Overcome was the full band version that leaked? Was it CT who said Pop Vortex = early version of what became Vine Street?

We heard crayons was century straight from the source. Radioactive.com seems to be wrong. They have vine street and pop vortex which are the same song.

Sad that the official record company (back then) for a band is completely wrong, or they were fed bad information.

Just wondering: on youtube there is a link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sngt7S9YNKU) to SS churchbox session demos. It was published September 30 2016. Is this real? It sounds different from the studio recording but i do not know if it is the real churchbox session demos that Chad was talking about.

At first glance just skipping through bits of it, yep, sounds like Churchbox to me.
