I've watched the comparison videos twice. Chris is off key and his eyes are closed for most of the song. You need to open your eyes when you sing. (That's something you should only have to tell a beginner, as it shows the crowd you are passionate about what you are singing).

Although Ed made a few awkward faces, his eyes were open and he sounds like the record.

Both shirts are bad.

Why did Live 2.0 wear the same stage clothes for two years?

I agree with your assessment of the vocals. In this video and others, Chris often comes in off pitch and tries to slide to the right note, like it's a style thing. It isn't.

I wouldn't wear either shirt, but Ed looks like a gay rodeo clown and Han Solo adopted a baby. Not that there's anything wrong with being a gay rodeo clown, or Han Solo, but he's supposed to look like a rock star.

Always happy to entertain!

Shinn's shirt kind goes the other way, trying TOO much to look like a rock star. Like, "I'm the singer, I guess I wear this black shirt".

I agree with a lot of this. My personal choice is Ed, for various reasons. Chris seems like a nice guy and clearly brought some new energy/etc. to Live 2.0, but I just personally love the original band. As a long time fan who's never seen LIVE in concert (just YouTube smile.gif ) only Ed solo) I am hopeful for the guys to come together and collaborate in the true spirit of what LIVE is/was about in the first place.....with the original four.

I think most fans are through the roof over the reunion! The Shinn era doesn't seem like it even happened, blink of an eye and it's over.

Yup. One album and a few shows is definitely not an "era".

Never thought of that. What would it be called if not an era? Good question for everyone.

The Dolphin's cry video from Ed shows exactly why he needs a good band to sound better. He rushes the chorus way too fast as opposed to the verses. Weird faces to say the least. He just wants to finish that song instead of feeling it. If you want to see a good one, go check the 2000 Letterman performance I think. Way better.

Chris rendition is honnest. Sometimes just a little offkey but he comes back quickly. The beauty of gray of that same show is excellent, one of his best song with CCP.

Chris' version is also a cover.

Why bringing that same kind of argument over and over again...uou wrote a couple days ago you take responsability for some mess in here and you troll that kind of comment against Shinn...sad.

What if we started a poll which guitarist would you prefer to be in Live, Zak Loy or Chad Taylor?

Live is the original 4.

Loy would be probably better else than his tones. The sound of some Ed's electric show was weak, using very generic tones. Often wrong ones. That's what makes CT unique.

Again this post refers as Ed being the only force in that band.

Shinn wasn't a single blink in Live's history. I think CCP will talk positively about that era, even in Ed's presence. I appreciate that era, yes, I called it that way. Despite bad marketing, they were posting about the recording in the studio and I saw them 3 times, nice memories.

Just a gimmick. Who cares? Ed wore the same tank top for a year or so. Who cares.
