QUOTE(Wambangalang @ Oct 31 2016, 9:41 am) *
A fan, or fanatic, sometimes also called aficionado or supporter, is a person who is enthusiastically devoted to something or somebody, such as a band, a sports team, a genre, a book, a movie or an entertainer. Collectively, the fans of a particular object or person constitute its fanbase or fandom. They may show their enthusiasm in a variety of ways, such as by promoting the object of their interest, being members of a fan club, holding or participating in fan conventions, or writing fan mail. They may also engage in creative activities ("fan labor") such as creating fanzines, writing fan fiction, making memes or drawing fan art.

I kinda form my own definition on things by using common sense and real life experience, that definition is the WRITTEN ONE, NOT MY OWN.

Why are you coming down on this pokey poster because he can articulate much with a lot of sentences?

Because it's boring and kinda patronizing and it just goes on and on. So let's hear how i can't comprehend it and that's why i have an issue with it! I really have no hate with Pokey, i have him on ignore now so i won't be replying to his posts, i want to keep it positive on this board. He has been at WD i assume for the past few years and he comes back and he's all over the place with long post after long post, so ignore is what i'll do. I don't want to argue anymore than anyone else does. Have a good day.

QUOTE(Voodoo Lady @ Nov 1 2016, 5:50 am) *

There you go being defensive and arguing again. I told you I wasn't arguing any more with you about it. I simply asked you where I could see it. Who are you to decide for me what I will or will not like?

Thank you. I will look it up. I'm smart enough to understand the quality of a video versus the quality of performance. Thanks again.

Honestly are you surprised I have made that prediction of you not liking it? I reckon over the last few years any time I have checked in here you're the person I have seen more constantly ragging on Chris over and over than anyone. So we clearly know your stance. So when you ask to see a particular Chris recording why would you be surprised anyone would predict you won't like it? The ones I have seen (I think there's 5-6) are so bad that even if it were Ed I'd be unable to judge the performance as the quality is so bad. It wasn't pointing out something you didn't know it was giving you an extra heads up that it's probably not worth your time as you can tell nothing from them. Man you're defensive for someone who constantly is on the attack with Chris tongue.gif

That's hilarious that rather than taking a second extra to scroll past my post I'm ignored haha. But fair play, I might engage in the ignore function too on Voodoo Lady so good idea! But really, has this place gone all millennial with its attention span? My posts are longer but they're not ridiculously long. Back in the day we all used to post here and it was full of lengthy chat and I didn't stand out. Things have certainly changed. But fine, in the interests of not wearing out people's wheels or scrolling thumbs I will make an effort to shorten my posts.

I personally think that Chris did have some balls in his voice. At times he did sound really raw and there was definitely beauty in it. I also really enjoyed the version with his vocals on Pain lies on the riverside (video of Chris and Chad doing it acoustically). But I'll have to give my vote to Ed. There's this distinctiveness to his voice that has always made Live different from the rest. Possibly it's lost, I don't know, but I still got my hopes. Let's wait and see. Never really enjoyed The Turn as an album, but I do have to agree that Chris is a good vocalist - no doubts about it.

Forgot to mention, even thought I was not fond of The Turn - Siren's call is probably the coolest track they have released as a band in decades.

That's what I said lol.gif

Back on topic, I'm the only one so far who chose the option for a new TGF album. That is what I think has the best ingredients for the kind of music I want to hear right now.

But if I had to choose between Ed and Chris, and I was being honest with myself, I would choose Ed. I love The Turn and the quality that Chris contributed to Live's discography, but there is a level of excitement with Ed returning to Live simply because he is who he is. The potential for greatness with the original four members is just too attractive for me to deny. Of course, it could end up shit for reasons that have been expressed a thousand times so I wont harp on about it (because I think I'm verging on this post being too long), but I'm willing to stick around and see what happens.

I also thought sirens call towered over the other tracks but surprisingly it was not the top fan favorite
