I forced myself to listen to this video... In fact, each time I listen to something from Ed newer than 2003, I have to force myself. So I cannot imagine so much people here are more convinced that a reunion with Ed as lead singer could turn into better sound than the Live 2.0 I enjoyed so much the last few years (I still listen to The Turn on a regular basis, even more often than older +Live+ albums with the original lineup, I must admit).
I also listen a lot to the other Chris Shinn musical projects, such as EIE and UT, and even his solo album. I am thankful to CCP for allowing me to discover this great voice and all this great music.
My greatest hope right now: that Chris Shinn is still into +Live+ and that they are working together on some new project right now. but if they are not (I fear these reunion rumors will turn into reality), I hope Chris will release some new music anyway, being solo, or in a band that can be Live, EIE or UT. I don't care about Ed anymore...

I hated Chris's solo album, I thought it was like audio ambien.

I did enjoy The Turn, though.

It was indeed, at first listen, my least preferred album among his work. But now, I've got this stuff growing on me and I also like to listen to this album when I feel in a certain mood.
Anyway, I did not wanted to make a post to criticize Ed stuff (sorry, English is not my mother tongue, I do my best to express my ideas as clear as possible wink.gif). This post (after reading this topic evolution almost everyday) was just to express that some of us visiting this board are not here because of being excited with a possible reunion, but because of being anxious about it. What I search for when visiting this topic is a confirmation this was only rumors and that a second CCCP effort is to come into being. But indeed, if they confirm they are into a ECCP lineup again, and that the music coming out of this is as poor as SFBM era (but I do not see reasons why it would be that different), I will be gone, for sure. There are much more bands to enjoy, and Chris Shinn's ones are among these.

If anything, some information will be released in the next few months confirming our speculations/hopes/fears/desires. This band may very well be done, but it's guaranteed each of these individuals will continue making music in some capacity.

Shinn will either join another band or release a solo album.

Ed will either reunite with Live or continue his solo thing.

CCP will reunite with Ed, continue on with Shinn, find a new lead singer for Live, continue on with TGF, or just ride off into the sunset knowing they gave it one last try.

Popular relevance is longer within the reach of these musicians. What they are doing is for them and maybe for their remaining fans. They will take their time, make family their priority, make mental health their priority, and give the middle finger to the recording industry that raped them for so long.

It's alright, it's been about 2 years since you posted it smile.gif

http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php...0&hl=soundcheck
looking back it's not much of a performance but I did think it was neat how it was stripped down without falsetto

So Mystery was written 3 years before it was released on SFBM? That's new.

I kind of hope these guys re-unite. I don't really enjoy LiVe without Ed and I don't truly enjoy Ed without LiVe.

They belong together - as long as there is passion...belief...energy they will succeed.

A friend of mine, who knows what a big fan I am, just texted to say the whole band (including Ed) is eating together right now at the same bar she is at right now in York.

Well THAT is the first interesting piece of news I've heard.

Did Ed demand a larger portion of the potato skins because he's the lead singer?

Sounds promising. This is the second time someone has reported here that the guys are together.

Hoping this is true!!
But wouldn't the people our/their age...40-something locals... notice them out and about together & it be bigger news? At least in York newspapers or something? Pictures tagged on Facebook or something? Just seems kind of weird to me that if they are spotted together it's not a bigger deal. They are still relevant.

Who knows, but if true, it could be they are working on something big. Imagine a new studio album with the four of them working together?
