Entirely likely that they wont reunite, just promoting something simutaneously. For example, my chemical romance just put out an anniversary reissue with extras without reforming the band. Happening with lots of bands.

That would be depressing. I wouldn't want the reissue w/ extras without a reunion. All or nothing.

I've always said they would reunite one day. I've suspected it for sure since July. I will hold out until the New Year/Mental Jewelry's release anniversary. If still no reunion at that time, I'll give up.

My thoughts exactly. If Ed tweets tomorrow that album 3 hits stores this December then obviously there is no reunion. But the longer we go hearing nothing the more likely I think they're busy putting an album together and they are waiting til it's near completion before making any announcement. Maybe we'll hear something tomorrow or maybe not til next year, but until we hear something that indicates either side has other plans my chips are all in on reunion.

That's the thing that keeps me thinking a reunion is happening. I see Ed live at least once a year. The fact that he has no upcoming dates and has been silent for months is just too weird. At the same time though I wonder if Shinn just took a hike leaving "Live" without a singer so they have just shut it down for good. But still, the Ed being silent thing is just too much of a coincidence. Guess we'll see.

Good points on Ed being MIA as an obvious reason why a reunion is probable.
And speaking of Shinn, I wonder what he's up to and how he's making $ these days? Upon googling him, it seems like he keeps a low profile.-Rats! To find out if he was working on a project of some sort would be a definite reunion myth buster.

And by the way, I've had "Stage" on repeat today. I'm adding that to my spontaneous combustion list. If they opened a reunion show with it or even Heropsychdreamer, I'd lose it. I watched a vid of Ed performing Stage solo, 2015. He killed it (to anyone who thinks his voice is shot).

I don't see how Ed's silence necessarily means a reunion. If Live put out an anniversary release, then I could see Ed refrain from Album 3 news, and shift focus to the Live release when the time comes. Also Ed has finished a major tour and it would make sense for him to take an extended break right now.

I have to disagree. Ed has always interacted regularly with fans online. The longest it ever seemed he stayed quiet for was two or three weeks. Not 3 MONTHS! Even if he was just chilling with the family, he'd talk about what he was up to (like the MOMA post). If it was just an anniversary album, it's my gut feeling he would not have disappeared. And for their main sites to be down, too... It's just too weird. I also remember Chad's Facebook shutting down for a week or two in early summer. That wasn't a glitch. It's like they were trying to get some kind of game plan going and changed their minds about Chad staying silent. I dunno... As Heather stated, we will see.
