I sorta see what you are saying. I hope Ed has his mojo back. Even without mojo Ed has better vocals and stage presence than Shinn ever will. But.... no. No songs from The Turn performed by Ed. It would just be wrong on so many levels. Sorry.

Yeah, it wouldn't make any sense at all, but I would be impressed if Ed did anything off the turn considering much of it was directed (very negatively) toward him.

If they reunited and played Unsheathed and open with The Dam at Otter Creek, it would be amazing. Also Rattlesnake should be played.

Ugh, Unsheathed...who actually likes that song? eyebrow.gif

i dont think ed should do the turn. especially if it is a reunion ppl will just want the hits.

i dont think ed could even sing the songs off the turn. most of them anyway. shinn and ed have very different styles

Hmmmm.... this brings up a good point. If Ed and the guys reunite do they perform songs from the Turn? I say no.

TC

A related question, do we hear them performing Zion or Seven? My bet is that we only hear songs from MJ to TDTH with the addition of Heaven. Hopefully with some new stuff mixed in.

I'd think that's mostly accurate, maybe a few later songs mixed in but no SFBM.

That's sorta what I was initially hoping would happen. Give the better songs off DOAD a good live run.

I sorta like the idea of Kowalczyk + Shinn at the same time, though I'm sure it's quite far from reality. lol.gif

I could see Overcome, Simple Creed, Wings in the set as well.

I can't believe I forgot about Overcome, that would almost definitely be in any set list with Ed.

Wings and The River (with an outside chance for Mystery) are the only SFBM songs I can see us ever hearing again, although I was always surprised that Night of Nights never really got any attention from the band given that it was one of the more liked songs by fans from that album.

I wouldn't even want to hear Heaven. Just the fiirst 4 albums would be fine with hopefully a new single.

I'd make one exception - Simple Creed , awesome concert riff. Maybe Transmit your Love, but only if it's the Beer Down version.

I'd guess Ed would insist on Sophia in the set. They played that a lot at the end. I would vote no on that though.

funny that people are clamoring for older live music and not the ed led live days of sfbm all while also clamoring for a reunion. you want the old live but also want what destroyed the old live.

if it happens it will be a mix of hits. i hope it will be a mix of hits. because if they try to be the live from the ss days then it will be a dumpster fire

ed cant do that anymore. he is fine singing all the lighter stuff but he cant help bring back old live.

this will be live 3.0 lol

it would be good for an acoustic album or show. ed would be great. do some radio stuff or something. hopefully the others will be willing to turn it down so to speak. they will have to

1) Doesn't even make sense, you can't make a "follow up" album to a 30 year old demo tape when you already had another 7 albums after that, especially where you weren't even making the same kind of music anymore by the next release (except for like 2 songs). I like DOAD, mostly because of its scarcity, but let's be honest, if you are one of the people who complaints that Live "didn't rock anymore" on SFBM, then you probably aren't much of a Paper Flowers fan either.

2) This continued belief that a band would reunite for the purpose of giving the fans unreleased or rare material is ridiculous. If you are going to get any kind of reunion (and I am still not convinced its forthcoming), it'll be the Greatest Hits like every other band that ever did it, with the hopes that if it goes ok, you'll get another album of new material and a full tour.
