So, can't really see anything on last.fm here, but check out the sites in 2016 vs. the sites in 2014 etc...

The banner and picture changes aren't exciting me anymore. They are moving at a snail's pace. When is Ed going to let us know he's still alive?! It's been two months already! And meanwhile, Chad's drink art, dog, and car racing posts bring tears of boredom to my eyes.

At this rate, it is going to be late December or the new year before an announcement is made. Zzzz. I hope they are not making a mistake staying silent so long.

You've got yourself completely deluded, you realize that, right? You're talking about a delay for an announcement you have no proof us coming at all, let alone within any specific time frame!!

facepalm.gif How can anyone still doubt a reunion? Or if anything at all, at least a reconciliation?
The time frame I'm referring to is what Chad T. said to the journalist who reached out to him... That he would talk about band stuff in the new year. On a side note, wasn't Mental Jewelry's release date Dec. 31? Well, that would coincide.

Anyway, I think it's certainly legit to discuss if it's a good thing to leave your website blank and main social media accounts down for a long time. A couple weeks to build some hype, sure. But with Chad's recent posts, it seems he's really taking a break. Smokescreen maybe? That's what I was hoping to strike up convo about.

I hope they are straight with fans soon.

Wow. This place is absolutely dead. Whitediscussion.com is gone as well. Ed K, Live 2.0, The Gracious Few, Social Media, website(s), all gone.

Where will the York boys go from here?

What if we have this all wrong and they just completely and abruptly shut it down?

The silence from Ed is the main thing that still has me thinking reunion. He wrapped up what was probably his most successful tour in years and was talking alot about album 3 at the time. With all the "goodwill" he built up with fans on this tour you'd think he'd want to get this album out as soon as possible and keep reminding people that it's coming soon. But instead he hasn't said a thing which is very un-Ed like. I am a bit surprised we haven't had an announcement by now, but I still think all signs point to reunion. At this point though all we can do is wait and speculate.

Very surprised at WhiteDiscussion shutting down though.

Was WhiteDiscussion official or unofficial? Who made the call to shut down?

Maybe TheBandLive.com will be Live's headquarters and they wanted to shut down all other websites to avoid confusion.

I agree with this one. The coincidence of both sides going silent at the same time is a telling point to me. They are working together on something. Whether it be fading away into the darkness, or getting back together, we obviously don't know.

But my money is on them getting back together. And stronger than ever. Maybe they could even be relevant again. I'm pulling for them, whatever they want to do/be. Sure hope they give us some more music to enjoy.

As far as WhiteDiscussion shutting down, I'm not surprised. But only because I think the band is likely getting back together. That wasn't and Ed-friendly place. No way they could reunite and turn the board around. Their web-presence needs a fresh start and a new name. I'd love to see the Live community reunited again too.

I like to think myself impartial, and a lot of this speculation does seem delusional - but they have been really quiet for a while now, and it's weird.

It amazed that, IMHO, 17 years after their last good album, all of us here check this site almost daily. I still do. I don't think any of us have ever been ready to say goodbye to Live. All of us who still check this board, I think, still believe the magic can come back - some how, some way.

If I truly thought it was dead, I'd never come back. But I'm still here. I have to admit that part of me still thinks they're going to produce music that will resonate as deeply with me as their first four albums. Maybe I'm the delusional one.

On a somewhat related note, I'm listening to The Turn all the way through again - and it's a damn good album.

After they shut down their website & social media, I figured for sure they would make an announcement in a couple of weeks. With those last posts on their Facebook and getting a little hype and some media attention.... To let that die down worries me a bit.

Ed being so quiet is definitely the strangest. I wonder what all of those Christian Contemporary types that only like him for his solo stuff think of his silence? I wish I had $750 to blow. I'd buy one of those Face Time things of his. I'd have no qualms asking him what's going on.

I check this board daily also. I'm so thankful for it, being the only outlet to bounce ideas around about them. I hope ECCP read it, too. I just wish they would interact a little more with fans online.

Anyway, patience is not one of my virtues. This is one of the hardest waits of my life. They -have- to be working on something new together for it to be taking so long. Although, at this point I don't even care about new music. I just want them together.

Ed was in Jamaica posting all sorts of stuff and then he just quits - right when Live closes up everything. Could be coincidence, but I don't see how it would be.

One of two things will happen. There will be some type of announcement that they are back ( which might not be anytime soon ) or Ed will start posting about solo stuff again ( which would eventually happen because there was absolutely no indication he was hanging it up ).

Until then speculation is king.

My gut tells me reunion is the news we'll be getting.

BTW - something to think about. thebandlive.com (aka freaks4live.com) is still an active site. It is a blank black page, but it is not an open domain available for purchase.

Best guess as of now is some anniversary release around the holidays.

That's my guess too. It seems like a good way to start rekindling interest before releasing a new record. I remain hopeful for both.
