It would be awesome if someone had a decent suggestion for confirming the rumors

Wait for the band to confirm it.

My best suggestion is to bombard their social media (in a nice, positive way) asking questions and imploring them to get back together, for the fans. Since their main pages are down, we need to keep asking why. "We miss you!" Ed's too. He hasn't posted to Facebook in nearly six weeks. Start writing on his wall asking if he's okay. "Are you back with CCP?" They really do read that stuff. Ya never know, we just might get a straight answer. I'd be okay with more cryptic responses. Even though it's annoying, at least it's something.

If it were me (lol), I would just use a studio somewhere else... or in one of the home studio(s) we'd likely have lol.gif!

Let's throw this in remix. Even if he's there, it may not mean a reunion. Maybe they're getting together to try and figure out if they can work together again. They haven't announced anything in case it doesn't work out.

There's been plenty of suggestions. It's not our fault if you can't comprehend the basic ones that have already been suggested.

That's what I think is going on. My theory is that they are in the studio to see if they can make music together again and get along well enough to tour.

Well here's a remix to the remix... What if they haven't forgiven and forgotten, and never ever get along again? But hear this....even as foes, they could still reunite, make great music again & have a kick ass tour! Look, I wish for a flowers, sunshine, and unicorns-farting-rainbows-friendship for LIVE again too. But if not, it is still possible for them to work together again, when it is done for the fans. It's called being a professional. I work with someone every day that I can't stand, day in and day out, and I'm able to hold it together and do my job. Plenty of bands have busted up and gotten back together and have had continued success without their friendships ever being the same as when they were young, hungry, and starting out. They make music, get on the stage, give interviews, and remain professional through it all. So what if they travel separately or don't give each other Christmas presents or don't BBQ at each other's houses on the weekend?
Anyway, I just don't see LIVE sitting around a studio deciding whether or not they can get along before they make a comeback. They aren't sitting in Think Loud Studio in group counseling sessions together. They either are doing this thing right now or NOT. --No "ifs" or "Let's see if we can work together without killing each other before we announce something." That's line of thinking is just preposterous.

Following that logic, they never would have broken up in the first place. And don't forget they probably don't "need" a reunion, like you probably need your job working with someone you hate.

Anyone who has ever been in a band knows how much it sucks when you can't stand being around some of the other members. There's no chemistry and it rarely, if ever, works.

It works quite a bit, actually. Aerosmith, Guns n' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Van Halen, Kiss, to name a few. Impressively, two bands from that list have broken up and/or went on hiatus and have gotten back together with all original members. I've seen all of these in concert except GnR & all have had great chemistry. It's a family/brotherhood. You deal with people who rub you the wrong way because under it all, you love them. Again, I hope that Live have forgiven each other because life is just too short.

I have to disagree when it's said that bands don't do what they do for money-- that they don't need it. Oh yes, they do! It might not be the number one reason why, but it definitely is one for sure.

Oh, I didn't say musicians don't "do it for the money", they most definitely do. Just saying, may not be worth it to them to compromise their integrity and deal with someone they can't stand just to make a buck. Especially where we all know they were not happy with the product they were putting out at the end. I think a lot of fans think they are going to "go back to old Live", but that may not be true. They could go into the studio and realize all they are going to get is the crap that made them break up in the first place. If it were me, I'd wa t to make sure that wasn't happening.

And, with all those bands, you have no idea what was going on behind the scenes or how they actually felt, all you know is from public perception or what they decided to tell you.

It's still puzzling how CCP allowed Ed to turn Live into Christian Contemporary (or whatever you want to call it) there at the end. The fans just can't blame Ed alone. All four are equally responsible. I don't think any of them are that stupid to let that music happen again. Some artists go off and do some weird stuff when they go solo. Take that time when Scott Weiland was trying to be a crooner, in example. However, artists easily return to their bread and butter. Kowalczyk will too. As for not knowing about the behind the scenes stuff with the bands above, okay...
I -am- a self proclaimed expert on Mötley, though. smile.gif (I compare Live to them all the time, I can't help it). They hadn't been "friends" since 1994 and retired last December, all 4 original members, still not as friends. But like them or not, they did some pretty damn cool things for the 21 years in between and I can tell you they were genuine to the fans.

Or perhaps they do need the money. We all know they weren't making any with Shinn as the singer.
