Good point, it may have nothing to do with Live at all. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing you'd quote in the college situation, it has such an element of finality to it, but it could literally be about anything.

I can see how it might seem like an out there theory. But I could also see CCP not wanting to risk another SFBM and refusing to make a new album while still being willing to do a Throwing Copper reunion/anniversary tour.


Having said that, my money is still on a reunion announcement and that we hear within the next two weeks. Chad's tweet seemed to go against all the other signs we've been seeing. But for now all we can do is wait and see. And of course speculate

The theory isn't that out there, I mean it's kind of obvious that they would have that concern. But, there's zero evidence of that being the case, and to imagine that they would announce a "retirement" from making new music, and then embark on a reunion tour, that just doesn't sound like something that would happen.

I'm not saying a reunion won't happen, and I hope it does. But what some of you folks accept as "evidence" which makes you believe it, let's just say you are very, very optimistic in your view.

Just a couple of observations:

- Interesting fact: Dr. Suess didn't say or write that quote. No one really knows who said or wrote it as it was never recorded as being from Suess (Just search the quote and you'll find the source of this information).

- If you say to someone: "That's all for now," What does that mean? Specifically, "for now." To me, it means that there's more coming at some point, which could likely tie directly into the quote. (Especially if this was indeed regarding Shinn exiting the band - maybe thankful for Chris and telling the fans to appreciate having Chris while they did? But look out for more from Live? It could go so many ways)

- The quote could literally be about anything as someone else mentioned. Someone mentioned his daughter going to college. What about Shinn leaving the band or what if he just left an amusement part? tongue.gif

- Ed's been doing quite well solo; why would he also just stop at pretty much exactly the same time that Live started posting "Ed" stuff? Do you really think Ed would decide to quit at exactly the same time as Live and that it is just a big coincidence? ...

Just saying to just sit back, relax, and until you see something that says "Live is no more," don't worry about it. If you like/don't like Ed, that's fine and dandy, but ultimately either Live will continue or they won't.

I'm pretty sure Ed will continue ... but again, why did he go from 100mph to 0 overnight? smile.gif

Just throwing out some thoughts on this stuff. However it goes, it is what it is.

Edit: Hopefully this didn't come across as against Chris/totally Pro-Ed etc. Just wanted to offer my thoughts on everything.

Edit 2: I really just want a fully mastered version of Hold Me Up (and some other treasures many don't know about wink.gif Oh and maybe we can talk CCP into re-opening the DMDP offer if we send in some tapes?

I have to say there are some funny images though when you Google "Conan The Barbarino" and "Welcome Back Barbarino" ...

But as I read on FB; if there were no more Live, they wouldn't tell everyone like this with a off-the-wall message that leaves everyone guessing... They would let the fans know.

Ah, okay...thank you for the break down. Just now when I Googled "Welcome Back Barbarino" I got an episode description "Barbarino makes up with the Sweathogs and gets the band back together. But when the judges find out Barbarino quit the band, they disqualified them from the contest."

I agree "that's all for now" could mean that we should stay tuned this year. Seems plausible that Chad would mention something when MJ hits the 25 year mark. Maybe even a release. Tour and reunion seem to be much less likely at this point.

All signs point to a tour for the 25th Anniversary. If it wasn't going to happen, they would have shot down the rumors by now.
