The only question is if/when this version will be added to SFBM. Epic may make me eat my earlier posts, but I will gladly do it if it means success for LIVE.

Am I the only one who sees a LIVE-Chris Daughtry co-headlining tour in the very near future?

This version sounds alot better that the AI one, you can hear Chris more, he has more solos. On AI they basically just sang together. This could be their biggest comercial sucess since Throwing Copper. I hope they do make a video, that would be awesome rockin.gif

I hope so! I know a lot of Live fans would be against an Absent Element/Live co-headlining tour, but it would mean huge exposure for Live. And they might also be able to play in larger venues which would be nice to see again. Live would get a ton of new fans that way.

Why did Epic release the other Mystery as a single at all if they had this recording ready to go? It doesn't make any sense. I wonder what the release date of this new single is?

I have no idea; it's all a big mystery! I was listening to the Rock Channel on Music Choice and they played the original version of Mystery without the strings. It was the first time I had heard that version.. thought it was pretty cool but I like the strings.. and I like the Chris/Ed duet the best.

Well if Chris and Ed are writing together....... WOOOOOOOT! It could go that way. Personally I wouldn't care if Absent Element opened and LIVE headlined. I'm a huge fan of both. They both have a deep spirituality and sound great live. I'd like to kiss Ed right on his big bald head for taking Chris under his wing a little and being open to the whole AI thing. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU....... Thank you Ed and LIVE, thank you LIVE fans for giving it a chance. Thank you for posting the download...........

Scuse me while I go listen to this 50 times and cry uncontrollably........ cry.gif

I am overcome.....

Well if Absent Minded opened, you can be sure Chris will be joining Live on stage for the encore. It would just be a fun show!

The song is now on Live's Myspace!

That isn't the AI version. It's brand new. They left out the second verse in the American Idol version.

I love that version. Especially the low / deep (what do you say???) voice of Chris together with Ed higher voice. thumbsup.gif

it's really good, but one complaint (I always have one smile.gif )...miss Adam at the end singing him background "Heaven is one so why believe when you can see it for yourself" (my favorite part of the song)...why did they/would they cut that?!?! angry.gif

This is pretty good I must say. It is definately not the version they played on American Idol though.

The question is, when will this be out? Seems like it would have been best out oh a week or two ago.

I was actually about to say the same thing. Adams background vocals and the bridge at the end is really the best parts of this song imo (and I don't mean that the rest of the song is crap, rather the opposite).

And wow! This version has single-material written all over it! I really like how Eds and Chris voices work together. Chris has that gut/throat-thing going and Ed is Ed - that man has too big of a vocal range, it's almost insane.

a video featuring Chris won't be bad, but than it's 100% not another classic Live video

not that I expected that, but yeah sad.gif

I totally agree. I thought the original version of Mystery was one of the best songs Live had ever created. However this new version is even better. We just need Chris fans to help support the album, that way Epic puts more money into the promotion of this new single.
