On both Facebook and Twitter Chris Shinn is no longer listed as a member of the band. There is also a link to thebandlive.com as the band's official page, although that url is not active.

I'll believe it when I see it for myself.

Count me in on the believer train. Hopeful at the very least. If they do it, I'll be there!!

Will the fan base heal as well? I'm down, but I can't speak for anyone else.

I'm in. I was never out. Ed's style of music obviously changed, but I still liked the worst Live better than the best of a whole lot of other bands.

I'm hoping that ThebandLive.com turns out to be legit. It is the perfect domain for a band very hard to find on a google search.

Never cared for Freaks4Live myself, and Friends of Live had it is time, time to start fresh.

I must have missed this, but isn't World Vision the organization that Ed long supported?

If the band gets back together and plays their hits, I don't think many fans are going to care about the past. LIVE aren't exactly going to be selling tickets like they used to, based on material that continues to fall into the ether of irrelevance, but they will at least please some fans and generate some income.

If the band gets back together and actually produces new material rivaling their work in the 90s, I think they could foster a fan base that would possibly support a tour(s) comprised of both old and new music. They won't be topping the charts or selling out huge arenas, but it would be incredible to see this group as the functioning, creative spiritual collective they once were.

They don't really need to heal the fan base, in my opinion; they need to reignite it and help people remember what LIVE was and what it still can be. If anything, use all of that negative energy from the past 15 years or so and focus it creatively into a new album. If Ed, Chad, Chad and Pat can actually work TOGETHER on new material, I see a large potential for some fantastic art consumed by many eager old and new fans.

I personally don't have much interest in supporting the band if their entire future career is spent apart from one another occasionally releasing their own new stuff and rehashing their collective old stuff. They released a greatest hits CD over 10 years ago and Ed has beat Throwing Copper to absolute death with his anniversary tour. LIVE 2.0 is a commercial failure, despite what I believed to be a valiant effort with The Turn and despite relying heavily on old material during shows. Ed's solo career is vapid, built upon mediocre new material and sustained by Throwing Copper on a low budget.

To get my attention, and make me actually care, they need to start over. If they could all just smoke a bowl, meditate, tap into those spiritual energies and realize that life is too short to bitch about each other and ignore creative input, maybe, just maybe, something real could happen.

I missed that too. Ed is indeed a long supporter. And I don't think World Vision is a big enough org for it to be a coincidence.

Chad posted a while back somewhere on social media that Ed had reached out asking him to support World Vision. Chad basically said that all beef between him and Ed aside, World Vision is a good thing, and Chad encouraged people to donate.

It's never going to happen. Those hoping for a reconciliation need to stop living in the past and in fantasy land.

Live's breakup was worse than married parents who had a miserable and dragged out divorce. They are not going to get back together and certain fans, children if you want continue the analogy, need to stop hoping they will get back together.

Just enjoy the memories and photographs and leave it be.
