Prelude:

My wife says I shouldn't read posts on this message board, because it just gets me stressed out.

-------

Well, it's time to end my silence!

I'm tired of people who think they know the band and post comments leaning towards one direction or another.

I've been a fan since 1994, and I've watched bands break up and get back together..

Bands who everyone thought would never get back together.. (Creed, Guns N Roses, etc, etc...)

At 33yrs old, I am "famous" for being obsessed with this "90's" Band, called Live, where most "common folk" think they didn't write a song past I Alone or Lighting Crashes..

Of course, if you can trap one of those people in a corner, and play them their greatest hits they will soon realize they know a lot more than those songs...

The bottom line here is that I wanted to post something..

These guys grew up together, blew the roof of Rock Radio together, and there is nothing stopping from them from getting over their "common" rock band issues.

I remember hearing "Forever" on rock radio. Obviously I had a copy before it hit the radio, but it sounded great on the radio.

I told my friends, this is the best radio hit, since Dolphin's Cry.

and it was....

Nothing crazy, but a solid track, solid music, with great lyrics.

I'm sick of hearing about the Ed Years..

Alternative Rock was anything but mainstream at the time, but Ed was still breaking into the mainstream.

I want, and wanted Live to be relevant, and they still were (at least in Central Jersey)

Live was on broadcast television, singing with Chris Daughtry on American Idol, I couldn't be more happy...

This was it, there chance to get back into the swing of things, (although they had hits on the radio from every album, (including SFBM)

And then the worst break up of my life happened...

Nonetheless, I tried to recover, and followed Ed through his Solo Career, and still am following,...

New band was... Ok... but it came me that shot of addiction I needed....

Gracious Few Kicked Ass.. (Still waiting for Round 2)

and the new Live Studio Album was pretty Kick Ass as well...

Ed's Latest Album, arguably the best he has done solo...

But the bottom line is... Ed needs his friends to fuel the Fire, and Chris Shinn can't remember Live lyrics..

2016 needs to be the year that Ed and Chad put their Ego's aside, and get the Band back together..

Live is a Hall of Fame worthy Band!

They need to bring back the Magic of Throwing Copper and Mix it with Birds of Pray..

Every Live album was good music,

You will never duplicate Throwing Copper...

(you will never duplicate Hybrid Theory for that matter)

But Forever was the start to something, and Believe (Early version of Honest Man) could have lead to a great Album...

Time to stop the BS on this board of people being so sure of themselves, and realize that bands go through changes...

You can't be the 17 year old version of your self...

Every member of Live is important...

And it's time for us all to get on the same page, and pull for them to get on the same page, and reunite Live, and make some more memories...

Thank you for listening...

First in.

Agreement.

#don'tblushbaby

Seriously though ; nice blog - I agree with your sentiment.

Make 2016 the year LiVe really returns. Keep Shinn on as a side project dude if you have to CT.

Awesome post and I agree 100 percent!

Live needs to do some shows with the original line-up. The clock is ticking.......

Thank you for your post. My heart belongs to 80s and 90s hard rock and I never give up hope. Like you, I've seen many bands, both huge & not so well known, that have busted up (90% of breakups are due to money issues) get back together in time. The time is right for Live.

Anyone remember the VH1 show Bands Reunited? All that show asked for was a reunitement for one, just one, concert for fans. Nothing else. I'd be so happy with just that; one show from Live with Ed again. Several bands featured on that show declined a reunion performance at that time, but later got back together on their own. 80's band Extreme was one. So, never say die.

Wish that show would come back on air. Live would be a great candidate.

Post is way to long to read. If you are saying get the original lineup back together, I agree.

John Corabi replaced Vince Neil as lead singer of Mötley Crüe in 1992. The Corabi album and EP did not sell as well as albums with Neil. Mötley's record label refused to fund another album unless Neil was brought back as lead singer. Neil came back in 1997. Neil could have never sang Corabi's "Hooligan's Holiday." And he was -never- asked to. Additionally, Nikki Sixx stated, "It would have been disrespectful to ask Vince to do so."

I know CCP say they hate everything after TDTH so its probably a non-issue, but I could never imagine Chris singing Heaven...

The album with Shinn is a great album. But it's not Live, no matter what's on the label.

Ed and Live have both been very quiet on FB this year so far. I know Ed is going on tour in March, and hopefully a new album at some point. I wonder what Live's plans are for 2016?

I agree - Ed is probably going to have an album in progress as soon as he gets every last throwing copper show out of his system. I bet there will be a release this year or early next year.

Live is probably trying to see if they have enough material to put out another release, might play a show here or there.

And after Ed's done with his album three world tour, Live probably will not get back together. Public Affection will probably make a comeback though with Ed and a new album.
