Very sad about Scott Weiland. It feels like part of my youth died with him, especially since STP were Live's contemporaries and their break-up mirrored Live right down to the lawsuit, solo career, and band continuing with a new singer.

I really hope that there still is a chance for Live to make a proper reunion before it is too late.

Also very sad about Weiland however a Live reunion should never happen.

Realistically, if a reunion is in the cards, it's definitely not for the next few years. Both bands are in the writing/recording process. After that you figure at least Ed is going to tour the world again. You're looking at three years total time at least. I wouldn't be surprised if Ed takes time off after the album 3 tour since it seems he's been on the job non stop since the breakup. Only then - about 10 years after the breakup, might the band potentially get back together. But even then, it would only work if they reconcile (or if it was all an elaborate hoax). It all seems so unlikely. And if they get back together, would it even sound good? CCP only want to play rock songs. Ed doesn't sing rock songs anymore.

I've been thinking a lot about this too since it happened....so sad about Scott and especially for his family. Makes me thankful the guys didn't fall prey to that path. The beautiful thing is the music will carry on and will probably even garner new appreciation from old and newer fans.

As for LIVE and Ed, in my mind I just really wish all of them the best and happiness in whatver they are doing. Perhaps it's the optimist side of me but, I do have hope (as others do as well) that SOMETHING with the original 4 will come about again at some point....there's just too much history, legacy and fans not to...and IMO all LIVE fans would be excited by it.
