My first reaction after reading the opening post was to check the date. It didn't feel right. I was kinda expecting these to surface on April 1. An elaborate Rick Roll.

Either that or someone is baiting us. Fishing for pms offering money or anonymous distribution.
An aggrieved CCP sycophant still upset some fans got to hear Churchbox...that I would buy.

QUOTE(Bremang @ Mar 28 2015, 1:30 am) *

I don't know many Live fans who would have this kind of subtlety and knowledge of the recordings, labels, etc, to be fake.

We definitely know there are obsessive Live fans who swear allegiance to Chad, who are in contact with the band somehow, so it seems possible that the band could get word. And if this former employee really died, it could be possible that the current MCA employees still remember him and his son. I don't know if it sounds like utter nonsense, but for me it definitely casts doubt over the situation.

I called it utter nonsense because of the timing of the two posts. There is no way that the events described would have occurred in that short a time period. The fact that the OP has not returned is further evidence of shadiness.

Sorry for not addressing the timing specifically. 6 communications. Communication time averages at almost an hour a piece. If the relationships are close, with smartphones today it seems possible to me. But it is definitely hard to believe.

I am starting to think you guys are right. Certain members are trying to see which members would be up to buying stolen music. If it was legit, I will go on record that I would want a copy! smile.gif

Someone needs to tell LordSecret to give up his copy of "Ecstatic Fanatic (Advance)"

I'd scrutinize that this story has a low level of believability, but not next to impossible. Everyone's known a situation where word gets around fast to a bunch of people over the phone. But it also seems believable that BG might have ulterior motives.

Here are some pics of the promotional copy of Ecstatic Fanatic. It's been a long time since I've listened this particular disc, but I had a quick listen to it now and I couldn't pic any differences to what's on V (i.e 'Transmit Your Love' doesn't have the "put your beers down, get the fuck up" lyric).

Thanks for posting Dangum. I guess there is a difference between Ecstatic Fanatic (Advanced) and the V demo.

I will gladly go on record saying I would NEVER pay for anything related to V. Someone would have to PAY ME to listen to that crap.

"you should of come to the show
but you didn't now you're wishing that you had
had to go to jimmy buffet with your dad"

Fucking LOL! What in the fuck were they thinking when they released this trash?

In case I haven't made it clear over various posts and whatnot, I hate V...I don't think I've ever heard a worse album than V.

Edit: Also, I agree that this whole thing is bogus.

That's cool. I don't expect everyone would share my opinion.

For me, V ended my days of being a Live fan. I'll always enjoy the Pre-V material, but V tainted the band for me...at the time it felt like a betrayal from my favorite band. Really haven't listened to Live much since V, at least until recently when the Churchbox sessions made me dig out Secret Samadhi.

Looking back at V, parts of the album are awesome, and some parts are not. Simple Creed is still one of my all time favorite Live songs.
