I don’t think it’s just the bald head... A lot of Chris's stage mannerisms remind me of Ed (and I thought that before the whole Live/Chris/IWTL debacle happened). I even commented to my husband during one of the first few episodes of AI that I thought Chris had a slight "Ed vibe" going on.

i gotta admit, if i were a singer, i'd probably rip ed's style on stage as well... ed does a great job in every concert of communicating the energy of whatever song he's performing. any fan of live (like chris) couldn't help but be naturally influenced... he's probably not aware of all the similarities he has... but i'm sure he's aware of a few.

oh, i just heard in case anyone's interested... looks like chris officially turned fuel down for the lead singer gig...guess he's gonna do his own thing.

Yes it is way more than just the bald head. I saw it the first time I saw Chris perform. He's like an Ed clone, I honestly can't believe other people dont see it.

Wow, hand on the microphone in that pic. Clearly Ed invented that move, I don't know how I missed it.

Anything that the two share in common is just your standard rock n roll mannerisms that 9,000 other singers (who aren't bald) also have.

Uh, didn't anyone notice when the 2 of them were singing Mystery - each one of them had their foot up on one of the steps, their backs were to each other and they looked like mirror images?!

Aparently it was just me, Heather & Ryan Secrest that saw it.

It's just interesting to me that people don't think Ed's moves are original. After having seen a ton of bands in my life I've never seen anyone move the way that Ed does, until Chris. I understand that singer's are often influenced by what they have seen in the past and by their favorite singers, I just think Chris is a little too over the top about it. I think it's funny that there are so many fans of Chris's out there that are so enthralled by him and have no clue that he is a carbon copy of a singer that already exists. It's too bad they weren't turned onto Live first.

I totally agree with that, I work with one of those Chris fans.

agreed it is more than the head. ed's moves are very original on stage, and chris does copy many of them. fortunately, chris does have his own voice and does not try to sound like ed IMO. Having said that, i much prefer ed's voice to chris's.

I didn't say Chris was original. I said Ed wasn't. If ed's "moves" are so original give us some examples. And NOT that dance he was doing on American Idol, Ill agree that nobody has ever done those moves before. And it should have remained that way.

I'm really tired of arguing about this. Let's just agree to disagree. You obviously aren't seeing the things that I see and I really don't feel like defining things move by move for you.

I didn't think you'd be able to, anyway.
