this cyberdust thing is really frustrating. I got the latest link this morning when I woke up, and it took me to an empty dropbox. Did he seriously send a link to something overnight, and then also delete it before people had a chance to get it?

Yup, they apparently took the link down after a mere 20 minutes... damn everyone living in a different timezone or otherwise occupied eh.gif

I can't tell if Chad is suffering from paranoia or narcissism. I think the latter is winning here. Sending a link late at night that has content only accessible for a few minutes is really fucking with your fans.

Does Live retain the rights to their older albums? Or does their publisher from that time retain the rights? If they don't own the right to distribute the music anymore, these dusts make sense. I asked Chad earlier about whether their albums are going to be made available on vinyl again (I'm seriously struggling to build my collection) and he said that Universal is not paying them any attention whatsoever. They tried to get their attention, but to no avail. sad.gif

Somebody willing to part with their MJ, SS and TDTH vinyl, contact me, please!!

So does anyone have a decent album cover for this?

Universal is really annoying to work with in terms of getting pressing licenses. They seem really inconsistent when granting licenses, and they've released crappy masters for some of their albums (decent evidence that some releases are CD sourced).

I wouldn't count on represses of MJ and SS, but both can be found without paying an arm and a leg on ebay or discogs. I recommend discogs as a first route. As for TDTH, it is nearly impossible to get that release on vinyl. The couple times I've seen it go up for sale, it has been listed at insane prices. That said, I honestly think there is a decent chance that this will get a repress. I heard rumblings that Music on Vinyl, a European label who has been repressing a LOT of '90s albums was working on it. They are the label who put out Throwing Copper last year. Don't take that as fact that it is happening, but I think there is a decent chance. It wouldn't hurt to contact MOV directly to suggest it. They seem to have a good working relationship with Universal.

But as we're talking about rights and vinyl, what the heck is going on with The Turn. Live obviously owns this music, and the vinyl market is probably the strongest that it has ever been in their career. I've been holding off purchasing the album because I want it on wax. Chad replied a while back that it would be released on vinyl, but there doesn't seem to be any indication that it will happen. Anyone have any inside info. OutToDry, do you know?

The difference from the album bass lines on Ghost and Hero are totally awesome! Love that "staccato" sound.

Whether you agreed or not with the way that Live released these tracks, by spreading it like wildfire you all show your true colors. It goes against the direct wishes of the band, and if these actions directly result in the complete stoppage of future releases, the blame falls entirely at all of your feet.

For the record, I also missed out on the release of this material. The difference is that I acted like a mature adult, not like a crying, whiney child.

After hearing this we want more, of course.

What about Hold Me Up and Susquehanna?
High quality versions of those songs, wow.

Having a hq version of Cheetah, Mall Rat and Photograph is awesome too.
Cheetah sounds amazing, never heard it this way before.

This "Graze" is just amazing, imo. The raw, gritty sound really fits the song.
