Geez, wasn't that a potential title for TDTH? Then a bootleg in that name came out with the alternate versions of TDTH tracks including Don't Wait came out, horribly ripped.

I really wish whoever had that cd could give us a lossless rip of Don't Wait!

Full review coming soon, but I definitely approve of this record. This is fucking refreshing after more than a decade of toss-away.

Always nice to see your comment / opinion.

I've thought of rebooting the site from time to time, but it would have to be the fans updating it since I don't collect anymore.

you could turn it into a wiki, or similarly, something like discogs

Yeah, why anyone would rip a cd less than 320k bitrate has always blew my mind. Personally, i always rip cd's in lossless format, it's not difficult.

Have you heard our studio version of don't wait? It's not even a bitrate issue, it is like someone intentionally modified it in audacity to make it sound warped.

I'm not sure that "lossless" was a well known concept back when it was released, probably about 15 years ago.

yeah i have heard it, that's stupid if someone did do that to the file. Your probably right about the lossless not being an otion back then.

The details are foggy, but I believe Pilgrimage to the Southern Stars was released by Michael Van den Bergh. At least he made the artwork for that bootleg. Anyone remember mvdblive?

What I remember of Don't Wait is that it originally surfaced as a live recording at some show in 1999 (bootleggers....get specific). It surfaced around the same time as Vine Street, Photograph, and Change. Sometime in 2000 someone released a really terrible mashup of Don't Wait called "She Ain't What She Seems".

Wow...loved that old site as well as the others. Glad someone mentioned the live.cerf.net site. I've spent the past hour watching old Secret Samadhi concert videos from there. Of course, they are only 1 inch wide videos and only small clips but I remember back in the day that I would click on one of those videos and go make myself a sandwich before it would finish loading. A current video would probably take a month to load. Ah, the early internet days with AOL and dial up. Swami, I wasn't active on the boards back then but I was a lurker. Nice to see you still around.

I remember the studio version of Vine Street being released by Chris from WhereFishesGo (was that the name of the website?). I don't know if he released it before or after it was a b-side on the TDC single. I am sure he did not release Pilgrimage.

Would anyone be willing to ask Mr. Ven den Bergh about the Pilgrimage release?

The whole goal is to ask whomever has the source to put out a better rip! That would be awesome.

The live version of Don't Wait was sourced from the 1998-06-20 Summer Sounds Festival Charlotte, NC concert recording. I'm pretty sure it appeared as an MP3 online during 1998 and eventually a pure sourced version of the entire show surfaced.

Swami, I have no idea how you managed to get all these releases. How did you find out the existence of all those releases?

Also, what was going on all these years between traders?

I wonder what has yet to surface, and if some people would reconsider releasing material now that we know original Live is finished.
