See, this is what i'm talking about.

WHO the fuck are YOU to tell this person someone is a troll before they even know the person?
It's shit like this that scares potential new people away.

Sure thing lady. Someone get a straight jacket out for her. Absolutely bonkers.

It's a war zone indeed. If a newbie say that, it says enough.
everyone blames everyone.

just my two cents, if you'ré not a fan of Live, don't post in that section and if you're not a fan of Ed don't post in that section of the forum.

So Nick, go to the EdK section, i'm happy to talk about Ed (on a positive way) in that section of the forum, but when we are talking about Live, you're the biggest troll in the world.

That's why all of the managers and everyone behind the scenes stuck with Ed, oh wait.....

Everyone that is even remotely affiliated with the band, stuck with CCP. Why do you think that is?

Live's manager is with Ed, not CCP. Touring manager is with Ed too.

Nick, as you seem to know about this stuff:
Why did "The Flood and The Mercy" not chart? It's better than Alive and Ed still seems to be quite popular. I saw him in Germany twice in the past year and both shows almost sold out. Two of his "Throwing Copper Unplugged" shows next year also sold out month in advance.

Was it released on a major label? Was it being promoted?

Well, that thread was a tough read to say the least.

Live at no 133? Ok, what's next? Can we discuss music, because this cd is quite good. Not a masterpiece but a damn solid rock album.

Chris goes in the crowd? Good...thought some of you were criticizing his lack of interactions with the public. Go Chris!

Cats? Next!

Nick? Next!

They will always find a way to sneak and find what is bad for them, a weakness for CCCP. And sales are we all know the ONLY measure for success! So that means Throwing Copper was awful for a year and then became a masterpiece in a couple of weeks? uhoh.gif

The worst is that you could say some constructive things about the record and the shows that could be fair...no, you stick with the old stuff.

How can someone think that Ed could reunite with CCP. I'm not going to that show! Ed proved enough he can't give the old songs justice enough else that 1 or 2 exceptions.

And also something that I would like to know: a review of The Turn by Dan itself.

found this place, thought it was a place for Live fans to hang out, sounds like a war zone based on some of the users i am seeing shelling out negative on CCCP or Ed in this charts thread and Turn threads

I got the turn, i was hoping for it to be very very much like old Live standards and perhaps have some new tones. I was right, which makes me happy as a music fan. I can listen to it, feel it and know it has that IT quality when it comes to Rock Music.

If the record just came out a week ago and from what I understand it's all LIVE doing the work to get it out there, seems that Billboard got it at 133 or whatever, sounds very positive. I don't recall Ed's record, his latest CD, even hitting the main charts top 100 or 200, but I think most of his fans are in Europe these days.

Never thought I'd see another Live album chart ever again. That's not what's important the music is.

It's been not LIVE for so long, I don't care who is singing, it was simply not that dynamic equation since they did that Five record. My 2 cents.

I'm gonna take a look around.

I agree with this. Too many sweaty palms, sweaty thongs and sweaty backs on V. It was all downhill from there...and now this moment has arrived and Live finally has an album that sounds like Live. I sincerely hope they make another one...or ten.

I believe that Ed made the decision to not spend the money to promote the album through traditional means, such as radio. He instead focused on promoting the album by selling it on tour.

I was honestly shocked when I found out that TFATM was released last year. The first I heard about it was this summer.

You know what, if they do or don't, this record can make all the old fans who craved something like the first 4 happy to say the least.

If those don't care about it or it doesn't suit them, move on and stop crapping on those that like it or want to celebrate it.

The decline started in the 2000's, but I thought CCP were supposed to right the ship with Ed gone. They would bring Live back to the music of their 90's heyday. Instead they created Live's lowest charting album by a mile.

So you don't see anyone else slamming Ed for not promoting his record and poo pooing all this chart nonsense.

What grudge do you hold against these men? Did they harm you personally? It's an honest question.

If you're not with following Live with Chris Shinn, and it seems many are invigorated by the change, be a man and leave for other pastures and spend your energies on something more constructive to society.

....Or discuss Ed with good intentions in his area. I have seen what's gone on here by looking around. Interesting that a LIVE board allows all this slamming of the band which is currently CCCP. Weird for sure.

And for what it's worth some people may want to know, i see a comment that The Turn didn't make some charts....by this same person who's steering the conversation to what it appears to be an angst ridden agenda.

I think that statement was made with the interest of trolling without checking facts.

In fact, i see it made 5 of the Billboard charts in the first week including the Indy Albums which LIVE is released as.

I don't begrudge them making music, or touring. I just don't think they should do it as Live. Especially since they are basically killing the Live brand that they built with Ed by doing so.

#133 on Billboard for a Live album is horrible. Not selling out an under 500 venue in NYC is terrible for Live, especially on the week of their album release. Live without Ed, is not a Live most people want to see. It is as simple as that.

On Billboard's website, it only goes up to #25 on indie, that is why I didn't see The Turn at 29.

Oh, and you can be sure if Ed revived Live with a new band, certain fans would be very unhappy.

i guess then by you throwing out baseless facts without checking makes you a liar, and a fully well developed line of BS.

But seriously, answer the other questions please, and try not to add an troll-escape route this time.

I think by reading all the interviews and the clips that have surfaced the past year, LIVE is done with Ed. Sounds like they're in a much better place with their own personal happiness, their lives outside of the music scene, from what i've read here and the social media.....sounds like they don't need music to live life to the fullest.

Ed is happy too. Lots of gigs he's got on the schedule, he must be raking it in.
