HAHAHAHA! JUST KIDDING!

Like I'd wait. Yeah, RIGHT!

Soon as that sumbitch leaked, I was on it like white on rice.

That said, I still bought the album. Just got it from Best Buy close to an hour ago and am going through my first 'official' listen.

I waited. I don't like hearing music for the first time through my puny computer speakers. I like to wait for the CD to really savor the songs one by one. I've heard The River because I watched the video on VH1.com and of course I saw them do Mystery on both American Idol & Ellen, but other than that, the rest of the cd will be brand new to me when I get it.

With the exception of "The River" and "Mystery" , I just listened for the first time on my lunch hour. Wow , I can't believe I am going to say this but ....... I am terribly disappointed. I have never disliked anything this band has ever done and was not prepared to not like it. If it weren't for the vocals I would not even know it was Live. I am all for progression but I don't know about this ? I love the two singles but the rest was just ..... blah and boring. If you knew me you would know how unusual it is for me to say such things -- this band does no wrong with me. I am stunned ! omg.gif

Give yourself time for the album to grow on you. Liking the singles means that by hearing the songs before you knew what to expect. I bet certain songs grow on you over a few listens. Sometimes it takes awhile with a new CD.

I will buy it when I happen to be in best buy next. I'm not even going to waste 5 miles worth of gas to go buy it.

So that means anyone who loves the album straight away can be told "just give it time for the album to annoy the hell out of you!" smile.gif

Ordinarily I would not download a leak, but this time I did because I wanted to hear it before I saw them two weeks ago. At first I was unenthused, but after many listens I grew to love it. Now I'm excited to hear it on the big stereo!

I went to buy it, but my local guy didn't have it yet. It's supposed to be in today's shipment, so I should have it in a couple of hours.

I hope so . I really , really do ! Does anyone else find it a bit boring ? I just don't think it has the usual energy of ANY of the previous releases.

Anyway , I have an hour drive home from work so I will listen again on my way.

For me personally, I have to be in the right mood to listen to it. I never force myself to listen to it. If I'm in a great mood, work is over, the sun is out and you can feel summer in the air, I'll put it in my car cd player, and there's nothing else I'd rather be listening to. It's not boring at all, turn it up real loud, and turn up the bass. It's good stuff!

Listen to the interview on the right side of this page: http://www.ydr.com/news/main/ It helps a lot to understand how this album came to be.
