According to Hits Daily Double, The Turn didn't make the Billboard Top 50. The #50 album was Primus with 6,728 copies sold.

Ok, and that means what? That a great album is so uderrated, at least at the moment. Even if the album does not chart at all, the album is still great. I just hope the guys are not discouraged to carry on and make another great album in the near future.

Dang, sold less than 6728? I was hoping Live had more people buying around the world. Does that include all the digital copies on amazon, itunes, and pledge?

Billboard is only US and includes Amazon, Itunes, and Pledge. The full 200 chart comes out Thursday, with the overseas chart on Saturday.

They dont get much advertisement and ITUNES only had the album on the new music list maybe a week and when it was finally released it wasnt there. And some crappy album are there for several weeks. I dont get it...but they should start selling more when they tour a bit more.

6728? wow...hmm...it sounds a bit dissapointing, because the guys deserve much more, it's a fantastic album.

But like i said many times before, charts doesn't matter and i'm sure CCCP continue to make albums in the future for their fans smile.gif

Really dude, fuck off. Your trolling around here is way over the top. Quite a few folks have tried to be reasonable with you, but you keep looking for arguments. stop it.

Ed and CCP took 20 years and built the Live brand together. Even in the 2000's, it was a very successful touring brand worldwide. CCP are taking the Live brand and killing it slowly with this latest incarnation. Very few bands succeed with a lead singer change, and it looks like Live won't be adding themselves to that list.

No they are not. Just because it upsets you doesn't mean that they are killing "the brand." You continue to approach this as if it is a corporation in today's stock market. These are human beings and artists. Let them do what they need to to be happy and express their art. Who cares if it fits into your fantasy world

I really don't care if people like the album or not. If people prefer the contemporary soft rock music that Ed is exploring, cool. If they prefer a more straightforward rock approach like CCP is continuing, cool. Don't like either? fine. I don't care. This forum should be about discussing the merits or weaknesses of the music. BUT, continuing to troll the forums because four men, whom you have no personal interaction with, are living their lives in a way that doesn't fit your fantasy is complete bullshit. Excuse the dated refernce, but your behavior is akin to someone throwing a hissy fit that Brad and Jennifer are no longer together, and that Brad is now living his life with Angelina. Get over it. It does not concern you.

I know dangum has taken a hands off approach to moderating these forums, but I really wish he would take a more proactive approach to stopping the trolling.

No they aren't killing it, they are putting the quality back into their brand. Ed slowly bleed the creativity out of LIVE beginning in the early 2000's. He lost his edge, his energy, his voice, and creativity, plain and simple. He took a once proud rock band and tried to turn them into a soft rock/pop radio band. He failed, hard.

I have tried to stay away from the Ed bashing because quite frankly, I'm over it. But, what I said is the truth for anyone who has loved this band since the early 90's. If you like his style, fine, but at least shut the fuck up about the other 3. Move on already, it's seriously fucking old.

CCP are giving birth to what Ed killed since 2001.

Another post that does not make any sense. You should change your user name to “Mr Nonsense”. You said that your favorite album is TDTH (quite poppy for a real Live album) and that you liked V, BoP and SFBM. Actually you like SFBM more than BoP because it is more consistent, as you said. Ed’s albums sound like SFBM (you said so), so you should like Ed continue doing what is doing and you should completely give up Live. Instead, you want them to reunite. However, poor Nick if they reunite they will not make soft/poppy rock albums because this is the reason they broke up.

Conclusion: you either get horny when you piss off people here or you never got over that Ed and Live are two separate musicians/bands and they are not getting together in the new few years. I think it's both. And it is clear that you like The Turn and perhaps you wish Ed was behind the vocals but HE IS NOT! GET OVER IT!
