I hope you are referring to Nick there. I am in no way fantasizing about it, nor do I really want that. That said, while I agree that there is no chance of a reunion in the near future, I never say never. There are a lot of bands who have reunited late in their career (even if just for a short run of shows) that I would have never expected. I doubt it would happen (and do not want), and I don't think it would be good.

I personally think men can work out problems. Hell, there are plenty of people on these boards that despise me and have said awful things about me. But if I saw any one of them at a show, I would have no problem shaking their hand and moving on.

Grudges and petty feuds are silly things to keep up. Ed and CCP are strongest together. Taking a break made sense, what happened after was embarrassing and should be corrected.

A Taylor Swift impact, no. A Bush or Collective Soul level impact, yes.

Currently The Turn is #139 overall in albums on Amazon and #71 in Rock

While Bush's album is #169 overall in albums and #89 in Rock.

Albums were released a week apart...I guess it must be that big impact Bush is making on social media.

It is a bit different when it comes to longtime friends and band mates than whether you and I met at a show.

Writing music is such a personal and emotional thing, and above all that these guys were childhood friends. There are deep ties between them. Something went terribly wrong. No matter who you want to say was at fault, it is going to take them a lot longer to work out their problems, if they ever will. That is fine with me, like was stated above, it makes them human.

What I don't get is why doing big shows and album sales would matter to the likes of any fan. Sure we want our favorite bands to be successful, but it has no impact on the music.

On top of that, the people in the Ed camp are getting exactly what they wanted from him, are they not? He is writing the type of songs you guys seem to love. So why would you care who he plays with? And that is fine. They have two different styles that are not going to meet again anytime in the near future, if ever. Let's all move on.

I couldn't even tell you the last time Collective Soul had new material. They are so irrelevant in the rock scene right now.

Bush's album has been out a week already and is dropping. Live's album is doing the same. Let's see where The Turn is on Amazon this time next week. Bush's single outcharted Live's, and I am pretty sure that Bush can sell out a 500 person venue in NYC.

Bush's album debuted at #33 on BillBoard, and I expect Live to debut top 50 as well(guess we'll see).

^ THIS. The only person who is embarrassed by any of this is Nick apparently. All parties involved are making music they want to make, and seem to be having a really good time doing it. Ed fans have more of what they love in his current music. Listen or don't listen. MOVE ON.

Yeah pretty much, how long did they ride LIVE's coattails in the 2000's. God I was getting tired of seeing them at LIVE shows.

I'm not a fan, but they are a successful touring group.

Collective Soul, obviously not your taste in music, fair enough, but i'm pretty sure that their self titled album went platinum, and maybe other album(s) they put out in the 90's. They have taken a similar route to Live's career, ya know, big (Popular) in the 90's, fall from popularity in the 2000's.

As did over 90 percent of the bands from the 90's did when the year 2000 came around.

People are saying that Live are going to make a big tour announcement soon. I wonder if there dates will conflict with Ed's Throwing Copper tour. It definitely will be interesting.

Art has said that the Summerland line-up will be announced soon, maybe Live is back on it?

Are you planning on going to any Live shows?
