Sometimes even those is in abusive relationship can't let go. Who are we to say how these guys felt during those times? Were we in their shoes?

No.

However, after hearing what has been made public from both camps, I firmly believe they were the victims.

How were CCP victims? Ed just wanted to make music a certain way without CCP and make money.

Absolutely. And even after the relationship has "desolved", the abused can still have trouble coming to grips or truly move on from the abuse and abuser.

Pretty sad to label this an "abusive" relationship. Those guys stuck around because of the $$ and security that the band dynamic afforded and offered them.

Doing that diminishes what the men went through with Ed.

I have always respected Ed. really.
He has done a great job with Live.

But PD said it. It was about time the guys moved on with a new lead singer.

Well, so far I haven't been able to see anyone bring up proof that Ed was a thief, or make an argument that Ed was abusive to CCP. Just alot of conjecture.

I've gotten a friend at work hooked on Live. He had heard me listening to goodies from MJ and TC and started listening to them on his own.

I asked him to listen to the whole album lineup from the beginning to end at the office so I could track his reaction to the newer stuff.

The faces he made while going through SFBM were priceless and hilarious. He couldn't believe the same man who wrote songs these songs on SFBM wrote MJ let alone sing the words with that flamboyant vocal style. facepalm.gif

He couldn't believe someone actually changed from 1991 to 2006? rolleyes.gif

In my opinion, Ed should have left the band a long time ago. I think he wasted a lot of time sticking around with CCP. Right now he has nothing to worry about though. He'll continue to have a successful career. He's extremely talented and if you can't see it then you obviously don't know what talent is. Ed has a ton of fans all over the world who love his new music and would much rather listen to TFATM than be stuck in the 90's.

When Ed put out his latest album, there was a lot of excitement surrounding the release.

Less than 2 weeks till the release of The Turn and this place is dead! The album hasn't even leaked.

If I remember correctly, TFATM leaked about 2 months in advance and this place was jumping. I'm shocked that no one seems to care about The Turn. omg.gif

They've done a nice job keeping the full album from leaking. Wait until the full album is leaked or out.

To be fair, there may be another Live message board out there somewhere, like 'White Discussion', that gets more than 2-3 posts a day. shrug.gif

This has absolutely nothing to do with the popularity/hype of an album, and everything to do with who is putting the album out - which in this case, is Live's own label. So, why would they leak the whole thing early, instead of controlling when songs come out? Your comment is irrelevant.

I really have no problem wi th Ed, but TFATM is by far the worst collectio of songs on an album /EP that he has ever released.
