Holy f***, did you hear Lakini's Juice? Wow. CS doing the old songs is super-duper growing on me. The entire thing is. I'm loving this.

Thanks Dan! This level of excitement among the Live community hasn't been seen in many, many years. Thanks for keeping the forum going!

not that you like to over hype anything... uhoh.gif

Live hasn't released a new cd in 8 years. lost their lead singer/songwriter. the only people who are mildly interested are hard core fans. the rest have moved on and don't care. hell most show up at shows and don't even realize Ed (the bald guy) has left the band.

I've been a fan since Mental Jewelry. Seen the band 20+ times and met all the guys. But even I've moved on. There is a lot of new music out there and my tastes have changed. I like some of Ed's new stuff and I'm always following what's up with him but my love for him has cooled. Same with Chad, Chad and Pat. I have no interest to be honest in the new cd. The stuff I've hear so far is decent. I wish them well but this cd won't make any splash especially if they don't have a "hit" song. I really find it hard to believe they will make a ton of new fans from this. But hey I wish them well. I had the chance to see them in Joliet an hour away from me and chose to go to a Chicago Blackhawks signing instead. I guess that shows where my energy level is for them. The good ol' days of the band and my fervent love for them has dissipated and that's ok. I'll remember it with fondness for what is was but it's gone now and I'm not looking to recapture the magic that was Live cause that ain't happening. Nothing lasts forever.

I'm completely okay that you have different opinions, we all like different things. But seriously, you're being a troll lately. Why? Does it make you feel better expressing yourself negatively? As we become more positive, you become more negative - did you ever ask yourself why?

If you wanted to disagree with my specific comments, fine - go for it and you're entitled. I'm all for constructive discussion. You're just trolling, though. And you're the only person who finds value in that.

Just stating fact. When people talk about Live, they are going to remember the Throwing Copper era of the band, not the 2014 version where Chad Taylor is the frontman.

and people will bitch and whine and complain, and hate and the fans who support the efforts of 3/4 of the band will move on, enjoy the album and get new fans THERE! thumbsup.gif kicking.gif

I was at that show and I have to admit that I was completely blown away. I have been a fan of Live forever and I was skeptical about how good they would be with Chris Shinn, but it was really, really good. I got to meet Chris and Chad afterwards, too, which was also really cool. I'm am beyond pumped to hear the new album now!

I have to admit I stopped going to Live shows when Ed was on a rinse/repeat act with the music and shirtless hip gyrations. It got old very fast. That and the fact Ed couldn't sing the old hits the way he used to made it a complete waste of time, energy and money.

That being said, all of the good things I'm hearing has gotten me excited again and I'll undoubtedly get out to their next local show here in SoCal.

Same here. I went to many Live shows between 1997 and 2001. They were getting pretty unenjoyable towards the end. I passed on recent opportunities to see CCCP, but will definitely try to catch them sometime soon.
