Amazing how Live fans have such different tastes. I don't think this new song comes close to any of the songs you mentioned. I'm guessing you're referring to Face and Ghost when you say "Children's Son(g)".

Agreed..not to criticize anyones opinion, but I still listen to all of those TDTH songs pretty often and no way will I be listening to this song in 15 years..a good way to put it into perspective

From the first time I heard this I recognised the bridge as sounding just like that in the studio version of I Alone.

LOL at the snake at that point in the video, intentionally harking back to the I Alone video?

Hi

Long time fan and first time post. I have to say that this new song is a complete breath of fresh air. I really tried to get into post TDTH stuff, but felt it got worse after every album. I sit on the fence regarding the split as there are 2 sides to every story but in the end was best for both parties to part ways. This new song has invigorated Live and it's a big step in the right direction.

Yes it is about Face and Ghost. And yes it does not come close to the songs i mentioned off TDTH, it is better than those.

I am still listening TDC, Sparkle, Meltdown, Voodoo Lady and FTQRR. I stopped listening to the rest a long time ago. TDTH is a good album but light years away from SS and TC. To me, it was the beginning of the end - it was the start of poppy Live. It was the first "Turn" away from Live. TWAIT is first "Turn" back to Live.

Yes, I noticed both of those things. As well as the snippets of TDAOC, too. I think they're doing a real "we embrace our past but we're moving forward." They're not shying away from the transition, they're putting it all out there. I like it. It seems healthy.

This single isn't even good enough to be a b-side track on TDTH.

It's ok. Very forgettable. As far as being the best Live track ever and this being their best album ever, that is a big time joke. CCP will say and do anything at this point.

We still got Mall Rat and Photograph.

TDTH is a very good album, not a masterpiece. TWAIT is better thatn SUN, WWITD at least. Not counting above 90% of the stuff released after.

For me, Sun and We Walk in the Dream are way better than this new single. I even think the name of the single is weak. It is confusing and not at all memorable.

I honestly feel it is in contention for worst Live song ever. I wasn't a fan of The Gracious Few, but I feel their rock was at least more ambitious than that the new Live has shown thus far.

This is where your bias toward Ed becomes ridiculous.

Worst song ever? OK? Call me a fool? Being the people together? All I need? And plenty of greatest "hits" we had since 2001 and you can compare it to the new song? No thanks.
